I have seen him pull this shit before, and he was town. He purposefully lied about his protown power role in that game because he got a kick out of being a flaming douchebag. I'm inclined to believe that he is just too immature to actually cooperate with anyone and learn how to truly play the game. He's one of those people that I wouldn't miss if he left and came back a different person (like Cubs did, only he became *more* immature).
