Well, Unright, I wasn't going to look into it very closely but then you had to go ahead and say you're spooked and make it sound like you were considering a "vanishing act." This doesn't sit well with me. What makes you even consider it?

Re-read my last post. I didn't say that I was considering a vanishing act. I said I wasn't going to pull one.

Like I said, this is my first non-newbie game. In most of the other theme games I read up on every player had a named character. And seeing how huge the MMPR world was, I made an assumption that every player in here had a name. That assumption may still be true, but my personal admittance of having a character name was a silly thing to do. I need to learn to keep my cards closer to my chest. I'm spooked because this now makes me more likely to be night-killed or mislynched. I refrained from posting because I needed to take a moment re-evaluate all the assumptions I had about Mafia before re-posting.

Are you done role-fishing now?

It's not true, the mod posted the townie PM in the opening in which Putty Patrollers were described. So we know multiple people (vanilla townies) are Putty Patrollers.

Unright, the fact that you mentioned that you weren't going to do a vanishing act alone means that you had thought about it (since you felt the need to reassure us you weren't). I will drop this for now, as I don't see anything to indicate role at this point or think its worth speculating, but my last point will be that thinking about going into lurking mode is *bad*

Unless, of course, nobody received that PM because nobody is a vanilla townie. It'd be a little high-powered for a small game, but this -is- Power Rangers...

Holy crap, page 6 and power claims everywhere. (you just admitted having a special role, if you didn't notice, Peers.)

I find it funny that there have been a lot of misunderstandings, power claims and finger pointing going on. Interesting... I will say, however, that Unright's little defense of peers

Care to elaborate why you find that scummy? Because it seems hypothetical to me. I understand your points guys but i think it's a bit of a leap to say Peers just power claimed.

If he suggested that there might be no vanillas in this game, then by default he has to be one of those non-vanillas, otherwise his theory is invalid.

Why exactly did you feel the need to point that out in the first place?

It was hypothetical. I reserve the right to claim Putty as my role in the future. I was simply saying, we have no proof there are multiple putties in teh game; just because a generic Putty role was posted doesn't mean it's being used. Except, of course, for those who received it.

Posts like these make me suspicious. Saying something but not really saying anything at all. Of course we don't want to random lynch.

Yeah, all the chatter so far is pretty crap. I guess we can start by discussing the theme of this game and see if we can figure out what kind of roles we might be looking at.

I'm old enough to remember the MMPR show when it was popular, but I was too old even then for the show to appeal to me. I read up on my character at least, but that's about it. Petroleumjelly did mention that any character to ever appear at least once is a potential candidate, so that gives scum plenty of fodder for false claims.

But it's a safe bet to assume that there are at least five scum: The Power Rangers (Red, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Black). 5 scum to 7 town seems to be a likely ratio.

Any one have any ideas as to the possibility of SKs? Or is anyone willing to admit real familiarity with the theme?
Five scum to seven town is an insanely unbalanced game. We're looking at about 3 scum total, most likely.

Top 3:

1. JMar- You've made lots of posts, but I don't think you've made one game-relevant post yet. You're lurking in plain sight.
2. Originality- You seem more interested in outing power roles than finding scum. You didn't have to call attention to what Peers said, regardless of whether that is true.
3. Flameaxe- You haven't said much recently and you're on a 4 player bandwagon without explanation.

That's an interesting accusation coming from someone who's barely posted at all yet. You just made 4 posts that could have easily been one, and you had one before that which didn't say anything. But the reason I haven't said too much is because nothings really happened so far. The first 3 pages are discussions about random lynchings and people being pissed off at each other, then there was the whole power claim which I also offered my thoughts on. But there's not much to go on yet, so far I have no idea who could be scum. You say stop with the speculation on the setup, yet you offer no alternative? What would you have us discuss?

Those 5 posts could and should have been one, are you trying to look more active then you really are? I'm not outing powerroles, I'm just confused as to why all this powerrole talk is going on so early in the game.

Also, you seem to be trying hard to find things that just ain't there. Really, no one made any logical mind blowing post yet, not even close.
