Fuse had been chasing a cold trail of murders for a long time. All of the victims had the same distinction--there was no sign of entry or struggle. It was as if people were letting the killer into their home to end their lives. Nothing of value was ever taken and there were no other indications that a murder took place besides a corpse. While Fuse chalked it up to being some Mystic charming their way into people's lives, no one fit the profile. With the Campbell case landing in his lap, Fuse just didn't have much time for this dead-end string of bizarre murders.
That was, until last week, when his best friend and partner, Ren, showed up dead. Everything pointed at Ren's trophy-fiance, Emelia, as being the killer. While she had no connection to the case in large, she was the singular person who was close enough to Ren to commit the crime. The damn woman wouldn't talk, though, even when Fuse gave her the third degree. It was as if everything was going to hell in a hand basket. Fuse needed a break.
And that break came--Ren's body was found in Baccarat, where it seemed like he was involved in an altercation that killed him for a second time. Fuse puzzled over the details. Ren was dressed awkwardly, like a Joker from a set of playing cards. It wasn't just the outfit that bothered the IRPO detective, either. He kept turning over a key piece of evidence found at the crime scene; a white mask that gave off a magical aura. He grumbled, wishing Silence was still alive to decipher its purpose. As Fuse handled the mask, he felt a strange compulsion to put it on. Shaking those thoughts from his head, he dropped the thing into an evidence locker and never saw it again. The string of murders ending with Ren had come to an end, and while there were no satisfying conclusions to be found, Fuse figured it was probably best left that way.

Hmm. SK. No useful associatives, but definitely good that he's gone before he could make himself BP as well as lynchproof(yes, we could have apparently had a fucking unkillable except by strongman SK). His scumhunting is *kinda* valid since he did want to find scum, but he also didn't care who died. Hmm.
Varsoon can you give us a little backstory about Fuse character ? I didn't notice he has any relations with Emilia charcter and the story ...

Fuse is a cop working for the IRPO (InterRegional Police Organization) who takes his job very seriously. He is actually a talented gun and sword user, and even has access to Mind Magic! He comes equipped with the Hand Blaster, a gun capable of shooting beams or becoming a sword. Most characters can recruit him by starting the Arcane quest and visiting IRPO to search for the Shield Card.
Fuse helps the party scale a mountain in Mosperiburg to retrieve the Shield Card--Fuse is going along because he is investigating a flower that only blooms at the top of the mountain. A giant firebird, Suzaku, attacks you up there! There's apparently a way to unfreeze Suzaku Jr. and have him join your team (and IRPO, I guess), but I could never get it to work. Anyway!
Fuse appears in several characters' stories. In Red's Story, he helps Red investigate Cindy Campbell and her connection to Black X. In Emelia's story, he's the cop that interrogates her and ultimately detains her in Despair prison at the beginning.
Fuse takes his job seriously, but he's depicted as a pretty gung-ho and cheerful 80's cop kind of guy. He likes to be in control of the situation--he punches Red in the face when Red speaks out of line in the Campbell meeting! So maybe he's a bit of a rough cop, but he loves his work and is dedicated to the police force.
Fuse was originally planned to be one of the main characters of the game, too. His story (apparently) was going to help to bind the other characters' plots a little more as he was investigating these various shadowy organizations (Like Black X, Trinity, Joker, etc.) that have a hand in all the other characters' storylines. In Omble, you can find his shadow in a room with shadows that represent all the other main characters. Furthermore, there are unused sprites and cutscenes in the game's code that indicate he would have been a main character. It's unfortunate that his storyline was scrapped, because he's an interesting dude. I considered making all the flavor of this game tied to Fuse's investigations, sort of like how I made Suikoden U-Pick's flavor all tied to Richmond's investigations. I think it's a good frame narrative, especially given how the game itself was planning on having the character serve a similar purpose.
