This says that if Aimee were to turn up scum, Zindaras would be pretty much off the table for you.

Limited access starting now.

I don't know whether to vote or not - I may check back later, but not for long.

CTD - deadline extension, please?

I won't be voting. Instead, I'll be hoping to get access before Wednesday, so I can control my vote then.

Deadline stands unless discussion picks up significantly. And I mean
significantly

Starting reread...

Heh, Teffc gives me pro-town vibes early on. Shame they're useless. Patrick also gives me some early good vibes, Post 34 to be precise. I'm amused to see Ripley state that Patrick is always town, then link to a game where he was scum. Simenon's argument against Jordan is pretty solid. Same goes for Patsy's. Ripley defends Jordan in 71.

More tomorrow.

Current opinions:

Scummy: Ripley.
Townie: Simenon, Patrick.

I said Patrick had always been town
in games I'd completed with him
. Aimee asked for links to both previous Pie C9 games, so I provided them, including the one in which he was scum and in which I did not play.

PAtrick - Is there some rule that Aimee would only follow her scum partner around? She tends to agree with Ripley more than with an yone else - but, similarly, IH tended to agree with me a lot more than most others. Does that mean if one of us is scum, the other is? No, not true. That statement was from a paragraph of musings about who was most closely tied to each other.

I did note that, but it's not really relevant. You edited my remark, removing the crucial "in all the games I've completed with him", and thereby giving a misleading impression that I had been inconsistent, or (at worst) untruthful, or (at best) amusingly self-contradictory. If my remark is quoted correctly there is no contradiction or inconsistency. Obviously in those circumstances I'm going to put the record straight.

Mod:
I'm also requesting that the deadline be removed. Aimee is away or without access for some other reason, and Zindaras hasn't read the game yet. With only 5 of us alive in a lylo situation, a deadline gives the scum a massive advantage in these circumstances. If Aimee is town, and unable to get online to vote, it's effectively impossible for the town to win from here.

Ripley wrote:Patrick said something earlier about Aimee not being curious about who the scum were. I recognise that that comment was a comparison of Aimee's play in this game with her play in other games, but I think IH was also massively uncurious in this game.
This is actually a question to Patrick.
Do
you consider IH/Zindie as "uncurious" as you perceive myself to be? I noticed this wasn't actually answered.

Definitely support this.

This is a good question. IH has a long history of not posting often enough in this game, apparently due to a loss of interest in general, and Zindaras has also been late with his analysis. I'm fairly sure that on looking at a few of IH's games at the time, I saw that he was acting in a similar fashion in those and so the "loss of interest" excuse wasn't a complete fabrication, though of course he could have been trying to milk it in this game. Whereas with you, I more get the expression you're trying to appear curious.

I'll freely admit that my own curiosity has waned in this game as well, and I'll be happy when it finishes. Right now we have I think 55 hours or so left until deadline, and I'd like some sort of clarification from the mod. Also, Aimee, how's your access looking now you're set up at uni?

Illness and university are conspiring against me. I would like a deadline extension as well.

Also, Ripley, I think it's odd that you posted that you've only been with Patsy as pro-town, and then refer to a game where he was scum. I'd have said "Well, Patsy's always town when he's in a game with me, but I know he was scum in this and that game." This seems like subtle buddying to me.

Interesting answer, and I'll have to re-read IH's posts, but what I remember is that there was a distinct fall in activity after Day 1 ended. I'm not quite sure what this means in term of curiousity - it perhaps indicates more tat Ih
could
be more pro-town.

That said, I am not particularly happy with Zindaras' content so far and definitely feel that he is making too big an issue on the "Ripley gave a link which disproved his point" thing.

Seems like everyone is around, but a majority of players has requested deadline extension/removal, so I'm giving you another week.

New deadline:
Wednesday, October 3rd, 11:59 PM GMT +1

I'm all for going scum hunting, but, I've kind of already blown my load in trying to scum hunt in this game, and nothing came of it. Zindaras is.. meandering at best.. and aimee is the same. Ripley is bored, as is patrick. I think that one of the mafiates should say "I'm scum", and, in a very cool out of game mood, sacrifice themselves so that the other four players have the chance to continue playing. I know I've said this before, but, really, if you are bored you might as well end it for yourself so that you can delete the thread from your watched list and focus on 'better' games.

Surely it's time for this game to be scrapped. It's 28 days since IH was replaced and the replacement has so far found the time to read just 3 pages - pages which contain mostly very brief posts, many of which are just jokes. As for the rest of us, even Skruffs, the main voice in favor of pushing on regardless, has now given up on scum hunting. The game has been rendered virtually meaningless by time, indifference and neglect. The players aren't interested any more. Unless anybody can explain the logic behind forcing a game to a conclusion under these circumstances, I suggest we politely decline to continue playing.

Third time's'the charm. I've never abandoned a game and i don't intend to, now. Either we win, or lose.
