Blitz Queue

Current Trial Period: November 1 - January 31

Blitz games use Day deadlines of no more than

96 hours

and Night deadlines of no more than

48 hours

and are run in Blitz Games Trial. Alternative deadline systems may be used with list moderator approval. This queue is for games in sign-ups. If you have a question about a currently running game, please PM me. For more information about the Blitz Queue trial run, please consult this thread.

Players

Signing Up for a Game

- Please post in this thread (e.g., "/in" or "/in for zoraster's game") to be added to the next game. The moderator of the game taking sign-ups will be keeping track of player sign-ups.

Player Requirements

- There is no experience requirement to sign up for a Blitz. However, moderators are allowed to have sign-up restrictions for their games, and they may deny any sign-up at their discretion.

Post-Game Surveys

- Players and moderators may be contacted after a Blitz game has ended for their feedback regarding the game, the moderator(s), and the Blitz Queue. Participation is voluntary. Anonymized data will be made available to site staff in order to discuss the results of this trial run. If you wish to opt out of all surveys, please PM me.

Moderators

Experience Requirements

- To sign up to moderate a Blitz with 13 or fewer players, you must have successfully moderated one Mini Normal or Open Game. To sign up to moderate a Blitz with 14 or more players, you must have successfully moderated two games or the equivalent. If you have experience moderating on other sites, you may request those games to count as your game of experience; please contact mith. You must still have been active on the site for at least three months and have completed playing at least one Mafia game.

Signing Up to Run a Game

- Please send a PM to Equinox with the following information to be added to the moderator queue:

Moderators should have completed reviews and written their opening posts and role PMs before entering the queue.

Game Limits

- Moderators can run only one Blitz game at a time. Moderators must wait until the game they are moderating is completed before joining the queue again.

Pre-/in Limits

- You may have up to 67% of your player slots, rounded down, filled by pre-/in sign-ups.

Setup Review Requirements

- Submitting your game setup to a reviewer is required. Approved or experimental open setups that have received reviews are exempt from this requirement.

Effective November 30, Normal setups must be reviewed for Normalcy by the Normal Review Group.

Moderators wishing to utilize the private topics feature for their setup reviews should contact me to receive access. Moderators should only list reviewers who have explicitly approved the final version of their setup.

Game Threads

- Moderators have 24 hours from the time sign-ups are full to begin their games. For games where the mechanic requires a design phase, games must start within 72 hours. It is very helpful if your first post stays up to date (even after the game is completed) with players who are dead and alive. We like to have a record of how games have finished.

Post-Game Surveys

- Players and moderators may be contacted after a Blitz game has ended for their feedback regarding the game, the moderator(s), and the Blitz Queue. Participation is voluntary.
