I think in some ways it's easier in a 9 person game if your scumbuddy goes down earlier - you don't have to deal with associatives then. I very nearly won one like that earlier this year, would have been able to I think had I not had no time and my hydra partner game flaked on me.

My entire proof for LQ as scum was done in a way that were I scum, I had to block him. There was no other way for me to safely navigate a day phase when behind the 8 ball if there was a way for LQ to not be alive. It would have been shooting myself in the foot in a way that risked me being speed lynched while not in thread.

A town player would have brought it up because they are looking for reasons to townread people as well as scumread people. But a scum player looks for how to scumread someone.

It was your only missplay and I let it slide.

Will write a proper explanation later but basically she lost her partner day one and then proceeded to fool every member of the town thus not getting scum read by A SINGLE one. This lead eventually to the towns loss in lylo.

So I'm thinking the obvious explanation for LicketyQuickety not being roleblocked is that scum thought that whoever they were targeting was more likely to be bodyguarded by someone else. Might be worth checking which players that applies to.

Were you thinking LQ wouldn't protect Espe?

Also, I was going to scumread anyone who posted a possible explanation on why LQ wasn't blocked, because it was more important for scum to think about it than town. But I had Postie as town at that point, so didn't want to post it as I didn't really believe it.

Well the good news is I was very wrong and have situationally cleared myself.

I might have gone full rambo on how LQ was the only real option for the last scum. So ya, 100% would not have risked him protecting whoever my kill target was were I scum.

The bad news is I was completely coninced LQ was scum and now I have nothing. Good stuff.

next is going to be a fire and ice blitz with rooms. i'm next in line for the queue and the game before me just needs 1 more in before it's full. 96 hour days 48 hour nights.

i completely understand if you want to retract this prein and wait for something slower. after this, i'm going to be doing mini theme. it will also have rooms and normalish roles but closed setup that isn't finished yet.


I'm modding a newbie game right now if anyone wants to join my replacement queue but of course there aren't any rooms in the newbie queue.
