Just out of curiosity, with 8 people does it take 5 or 4 to lynch?

Five. Sorry for not making it clear.

However if a deadline is implemented it will be the person with the highest votes, tied vote = no lynch.

Mod: Could you put parenthesis around the numbers to make the vote count easier to read? Thanks in advance.

Yes CKD is correct. That is was ckillor and not someone else was more or less random, he had posted (unlike edion0 and Qman) so I figured I could get a reaction from him. But basically it was sort of random.

I'm not very suspicious of anyone at the moment. I really don't know how to get things started here.

I did post but honestly there hasn't been anything going on in this thread other then random votes and light nudges. In fact I think this is the longest post yet.

Bandwagons give up info -- elicit defense, bandwagoining, etc.

Moreover, bandwagons are a step in the direction of the lynch -- and the lynch is how the town usually kills scum.

lynches also kill town too...

at any rate, I like bandwagon...gets things started, people start defending arguing...which is all good for the town..as long as it is managed, because we dont want a mislynch.

anyone have thoughts on wagons?

(we got to start someone with conversation)

I like wagons cause they give a lot of information. In case of a mislynch we can assume at least one of the people on the wagon is scum or at least anti-town. I don't think hopping on a bandwagon is scummy per se.

Also I would like to remark that I like CKD's attempts to get this game on the road. He strikes me as pro-town at the moment. I don't know who I find the most suspicious, we don't have enough content for that yet.

I agree with the part about wagons giving information, but what makes you assume that a mislynch will contain a scum? That is often the case, but there are plently of times when it is not the case.

Mislynches are a cost of playing the game -- the lynch frequently kills town, but the nightkill nearly always does.

The bandwagon, however, always reveals info, even if it's info you have to take with a grain of salt -- who jumps on, who jumps off, etc are very important and very telling.

Pretty happy with my vote for now.

ok, i admit that bandwagons aren't totally bad, but i've been in games where they've gone so insanely fast that by page 3 i think, someone was dead, and i just didn't want that to happen here.

unvote

*le sigh* D1's always are always tricky...unless a n00b royally screws up, of course- then it's pretty quick
so a robot, a cyborg, and a midget walk into a bar...
