IIRC, Yellow was an Ash-centric version of R/B, so you had a pikachu that followed you and couldn't evolve, instead of the "final" Rocket mooks there was Jesse, James and meowth, you could acquire all the starters at various points throughout the main story. Additionally I think most sprites were changed, some movesets were changed, and some pokemon locations were modified.

And I'm not really shocked that Ocarina of Time is thrashing SMRPG because it's so often considered the best game of ever. I must be like, one of the last people to play it. I think I've played the Kokiri forest level at a friends house or something, but you know how that goes.

I think OoT v. Undertale will be a very interesting matchup, especially given how fan-driven Undertale's votes are and a lot of people are voting against Undertale rather than for the other game.

No yeah I know, but I'm saying it doesn't really add anything. For me at least, RB but more like the anime isn't really a big deal. Crystal etc added more neat stuff.

Sure. I just want the nostalgia, and I preferred Yellow to R/B even if that's solely because you can get all the starters

OOT is a fine game, but it's nowhere near the best game of all time, and might not even make top 5 LoZ games.

Depends a lot on what you mean by best game. I try to judge based on how good it was when it was made. Otherwise a lot of modern games would crush older ones. We've learned a lot. It's still a fairly young industry.

I've argued my case for why OoT is so bad, like, more times than I care to mention. Something like: graphics didn't hold up, combat system is shit, illusion of open world without actually being open world, arbitrary fetch quest gating, needless padding and backtracking, hamfisted delivery of player prompts
