As stated in the OP, the mod will not lie to you, other than lies that can be reasonably anticipated and are a standard part of mafia (e.g miller, ninja, godfather, etc.)

So, just to be clear, he specifically said the flavour you received on your role pm was safe to claim?
If you were actually throwing in the towel on this game, and calling for a lynch on yourself, why didn't you just claim your flavour straight out instead of asking for a safeclaim?

i asked this back when i got my role, because i was hoping to, you know, not claim as survivor seeing as it's generally an autolynch. he did not specifically say that, he simply didn't give me one and the way he responded to my question made me think it was ok.

I don't think a townie would go out of their way to make it vague who they're voting like this. Townies almost always want more attention on the players they're voting. But if you're scum and you're just trying to vote park, a cutesy nickname doesn't get in your way at all. And both your smiffle and GuiltyLion votes read like vote parks, so.

I genuinely forgot his name, and didn't have the effort to look it up.

I really can't envision a scenario where Davsto would genuinely think Smiffle was the scummiest player, but not even know his name. Townies who suspect someone tend to read them and reread them and think about them and rethink about them and post about them and repost about them. Davsto not knowing Smiffle's name is a pretty good indicator that he's not doing that.

He tried to fish for triforces earlier, and as noted only 3 flavored have triforces (even I know this), one is super bad villain

When I probed him, he couldn't answer, meaning he is bad

Guilty lion noted he was a ganon and even I know he is main evil

Flavor is not necessarily indicative of alignment. Villains can be town, and heroes can be scum.
For example, Bowser could be town, just like Mario could be mafia.

My role corresponds fairly to my flavor so yeah we'll have to expunge xtomx at some point in time


Play wise he is also following his scum meta. I have a lot of games with xtoxm already (<3) and yeah I can differentiate. Heavily leaning scum or 3rd party since he doesn't look like working with lickety and co
