That, in particular, is why I pointed it out actually. Being a competitive gamer, I've gone to say "Good luck" in threads at the start dozens of times and have stopped myself for the sole reason that it sounds scummy. Caught myself about to push submit a few times.Kinetic wrote:Wait... you weren't just joking around? Wow...
Since I actually have to defend myself from this...
I've been playing competitive games for roughly, I don't know... my whole life. Soccer, Starcraft, Warcraft III, etc etc. It has always been good manners, at least to me, to wish everyone luck and hope that they all have a good time. Its basically a habit to me, and one I really don't feel like stopping because you think its scummy BA.
Heck, you're a gamer too, I would think something like that wouldn't be such a major thing. It seems scummy to me that you would point out something innocuous like that and jump on it.
As for the last paragraph, it is Day 1, scrutinizing little comments is how we start the scum-finding process.-

Hippocritical argument of what you're accusing Logictus of doing there.Kinetic wrote:BA: You voted me for saying good luck, you are encouraging a bandwagon with your scum partner Dragon Phoenix. Got it, your actions are dully noted.
Really, the right play would be to lynch before we lose 3 players due to not posting, so they get 48 hours to get in shape. Not advocating it, but that would be the correct play.-

Your responses have been the most convincing thing for me, Kinetic. The whole good luck thing is just a theory which, while I do believe it is possible, I just wanted to get responses out of you and put the pressure on. You've followed the string of general scum reactions when pressed by something questionable on Day 1. Ending with:
"Its completely absurd, and I'm beginning to think if I'm going to be fighting this uphill battle all game, then lynch me now and be done with it."
Generally, scum will say that when they are realising that this isn't working. It is a plea to the emotions. But in general, the angry posts, the OMGUSing, and the "How the hell can I defend myself?" argument are all part of that general trail from what I've observed.
I think that as far as Day 1 is concerned, you're certainly the best choice at the moment. I've yet to be proven otherwise. Not liking some of Logictus's arguments so far, but I'm still getting a town vibe from him.
And Dragon, Poppin, Jimmy, and Kravhen are lurking pretty hard and I'd like to see more discussion from them.
I just really hope this game doesn't get broken due to these inactives.-

Don't insult my intellegence.Kinetic wrote:
10$ says his answer is that scum are more likely to panic because there are less of them and they have a more survivor role.Brutal Assassin wrote:I've got the answer for that, but will let Poppin give an explanation (which will probably be the same anyways, at this rate)-

Eh, nevermind. Forgot it is an Open role game. A claim wouldn't get us anywhere since if he claims a power role then we needlessly out a power role (either through counter claim or through death at night) and if he claims townie he's probably getting lynched anyways.
Vote Kineticagain. I really need some sleep, lol.-

As much as I hate to do this, because Kinetic is acting ridiculous right now, I'm going toUnvoteon the basis that I don't believe Kinetic, as scum, would have made a post while at -1 in which he gave his thoughts on everyone in the game. It just doesn't make much sense, because it would be giving everyone a ton of free information to pick apart on Day 2 in a speed game where information is slim. If it is a gambit it is a truly great one imho.
And I'm sorry, but I truly believe that Logictus would have hammered you just then if he was scum Kinetic. He's been building it up for awhile now and could have easily made the vote to hammer without much scrutiny for coming out of no-where.
That said, I do agree that if you aren't scum then either Dragon or Kravhen is. I really can't decide on that :/ However, with time winding down I think we need to make that decision very quickly as a town. I'd rather lynch Kravhen for the reason that he isn't providing much information at all and hasn't been adding to discussion. And I hate to metagame like this, but I think with his grace period gone there is a high chance of Kravhen being modkilled at some point anyways. Just one 24 hour period of not posting.
Vote Dragon-

I think giving opinions on half the people in the game in the inevitable lynch situation he was seeing is not something scum would do. Logictus, do you agree with me Kravhen is probably goin to end up getting modkilled or do you think he'll just keep going posting a few minutes before his deadline? I doubt it. He doesn't seem active enough for this game, scum or town.-

Was also a few lines, in particular, which I was having trouble seeing a scum as saying during their last minute defenses. But mostly it was the suspicions list combined with the fact I was curious how Kinetic would respond to being "off the hook". I'm not liking Kinetics reaction following my post, and definately not liking how he reverted back to the attacking WIFOM rants. ::sigh::
Not sure what to think now, to be honest.-
