Guys, I'm really really close to buying a PS4 so I can play Bloodborne. If I do, what other games should I be picking up for it? Obviously Uncharted 4 and No Man's Sky when they come out, but what's around right now that's worth buying?

Man, I am really digging Bravely Default now. It felt like it was pretty slow up to now, but the gold and JP/EXP boost equipment are helping a lot with my enjoyment. This is easily the most Japanese game I have ever played though. It's so JRPG-cliche-y.

oh here's a thread for random vidya thoughts
dude bravely default is fucking fantastic; great soundtrack, great visuals, good story, fantastic battle system
it's jrpg to a "t" too haha, it can be really grind-y if you decide to max everything out

Bravely Default has one big flaw(
there is one too many time loops
), but its a very solid JRPG otherwise.

Definitely recommend playing Final Fantasy V/Tactics/4 Heroes of Light if you like the job system in BD, because Bravely Default pretty much takes all it's cues from those games.

Final Fantasy Dimensions is pretty good, too! I think it's better than FFV.

Speaking relatively related to Bravely Default(in that it's about JRPGs), I'm super excited for Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, but I've never played an SMT game. What are some good entry points to the series? I only really need to play one game, I just want to understand the series a bit better before SMTxFE. I'd prefer something for 3DS, but PS3 is also an option.

I've never played the 3DS games, but maybe Nocturne/SMT3 is a good place to start. That's where I started.

I think the handheld games are a little lighter, like you'd expect.

SMT IV was fun. Didn't finish it, but I got 60-75% through. I'd recommend it, especially for $20 or less.

You know, despite being a Fire Emblem fan I'm not terribly excited for SMTxFE. Namely because it seems more like they're throwing in parts of Fire Emblem for the sake of calling it a Fire Emblem crossover. *shrug*

Fire Emblem If looks great but not sure if I'll buy.

MEANWHILE Xenoblade Chronices X is pretty much an insta-buy. <3 Anyone else planning on getting it?

It's on my shortlist for sure, but I'm waiting to see a few reviews before I take the leap on it. Seems like it's exactly what I want in a game.

I'm planning to pick it up, yeah. Even if I never play it, I want to support the developer after watching Chuggaaconroy's Xenobloade Chronicles LP. I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for the same reason.

SMTxFE, while I didn't see much FE, is still exciting to me. And FEIf is an insta-buy for me as well.

Blizzard's a pretty powerful entity
combine that with "The game utilizes a combination of heroes from Blizzard's Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft and other franchises," and it's honestly not very surprising that it's being broadcast on an ESPN

Yeah well I got a bunch of mods for Skyrim that don't work together, were barely playtested and are no longer supported for just £29.99
so who's the real winner here
