Riven could start to become relevant as a counterpick if Vlad became dominant I think. That's where I was coming from. Though realistically I suspect Riot will give Vlad the Veigar treatment if he actually becomes dominant before that happens.

Vlad isn't a thing you just FP though. It's a niche pick in response to the tank/2-threat comps that are getting really popular.

Agreed with BRO re: C9 - Cloud9's historical advantage in NA (map rotations / playcalling) are no longer an advantage, and they can't keep up in terms of mechanical skill in the solo lanes in particular. Hai would make a solid analyst, and a bjergsen/pobelter/powerofevil-esque midlaner would be really useful if someone else can be taught to make the map calls that Hai makes.
Hai's shotcalling is really hard to imitate because it's so creative. Like, the shotcalling on clg right now is really good because they always just make the "right" call. C9's shotcalling has been amazing because Hai sees opportunities that don't seem to exist.
As someone who watched Pawn dunk Faker two games in a row in lane, literally solo killing the "best midlaner on earth" multiple times, there's a lot more to it than that.
so... link sometimes loses. Solution, bring in the most inconsistent mid in NA (pobelter) or the guy who consistently doesn't have an impact (shiphtur).
This split, Link and Aphro have been carrying CLG. God knows it's not zion or xmithie who do it. It's really quite harsh to put the losses they do get on Link. He's no Bjergsen who hardcarries 90% of the games, but he's clearly among the top of the mids in NA right now.
Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.
If all of the mids in NA are shit, who are you expect them to replace Link with? He's a solid player. CLG's roster right now is the best they have had in a long time, there isn't a single player i'd drop.
I swear I'm trying my best
