Marathon Wiki
Entry Round 2 of the Marathon is Fifteen to One, which, unsurprisingly, requires fifteen players. This game is split into 3 rounds.
Round 1
Players start the game with three lives. At
9pm BST/4pm EST on Monday 16th July
, a question will be posted for the first player. That player will have five minutes to answer. If that player is incorrect, or they run out of time, they will lose a life, if they are correct, they won't. Each and every five minutes, a question will be posted for the next player, until the last question. Then, on
Tuesday 17th
, exactly the same thing will happen, except for one vital difference: if a player got their first question wrong, then getting the second wrong will eliminate them. Any players remaining go through to round 2 of the game.
Round 2
At this point, players will have either 3 or 2 lives remaining. Questions are asked beginning with the first player on
9:30pm BST/4:30pm EST on Wednesday 18th July
. Once a player gets a question correct, they can choose who is asked the next question. Should the chosen player get the question wrong, the chooser can choose again. Should the chosen player get the question correct, they can choose the next person. Incorrect answers/running out of time costs one life. Play continues until 3 players remain.
NOTE: Players cannot initially nominate the player who nominated them.
Round 3
The final round is played for points. Players are given 1 point for each life remaining at this point, before being restored to three lives. The first questions are quickfire questions, whereby the first person to answer gets the 10 points for each. However, as soon as a player gets above 30 points, the game changes to "Question or Nominate?" If a player has control, they can choose to answer another question, still for 10 points each, or choose someone else to answer it. Players lose one life per incorrect answer. Like before, if the chosen player gets the question wrong, the chooser is again asked "Question or nominate?" Play continues until one player remains, who is declared the winner, or 40 questions are asked, in which case, the player with the most points is declared the winner.
This will be at
9pm BST, Friday 20th July
.
So, now you know what dates and times the questions will be posted,
do not complain
about not being online at that time! I picked that time because it
should
suit quite a lot of people. So, players:

NOTE: Obviously, The Fonz is not allowed to play. =(
