Also,
Mod:
Please post the set-up somewhere for easier reference. Also, what are the deadline rules? Will there even be deadlines? Do you require unvoting?

That sounds almost protown, but assuming that others will reveal their true motives requires knowledge of who has the motive of killing us all.

Isn't that kind of WIFOM?

I don't strategize, so nothing much there.

O RLY?

Wouldn't that mean that I would be mostly unhelpful in any closed setup where there is potential for Jester/Lyncher?

Open 25 is a good example of what I mean.

Yes, but I was somewhat helpful; I did eventually figure out the remaining scum. Your claim that I would be unhelpful is unwarranted.

Uh, hello?

I knew who the remaining scum was. I was
nightkilled in that game
before I had the chance to show that.

How does that = strategy is necessary?

Quite frankly xyzzy, that plan is one of the stupidest ones I've ever seen.

It doesn't. It gives you a fake scumtell that you could use to justify going against anyone.

No, it gives us an incredibly successful scumtell, because it will be up to the scum to protect and attack.

If the GF is at -1 and he isn't allowed to protect himself, the goon is going to have to choose between going all out in his defense, or do nothing and risk losing.
I disagree. It's a tool to lynch the town, and under your plan the scum
won't
defend each other, as they would give themselves away.

I don't like the way xyzzy tried to explain it away, but I'm
not
comfortable with having him at -1 quite yet, especially with a lyncher about.

How is a deadline implicitly anti-town?

Because the key to gaining information is day-discussion.

A deadline lowers the amount of time we have to get that information.
Yes, but with a distinct lack of activity, is it really that bad?

I dispute the lack of a deadline extension. I requested that extension before the deadline was over.

No, I think not. You denied my request
not based on that
, but because you said that my request was "after the deadline had hit".

OK then, going by the 10-day rule, SSF should've been lynched, something that would drastically change the result.
