The implication being that I'm a townread.

I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Was it a pressure vote? If so, it kind of sucks since the wagon's built on pillars on sand and likely to crumble anyway, not giving much pressure. There's a few explanations, but I think one is slightly more likely than the others. The style of Xayzeck's post imitates the style of xRECKONERx's and Huntress' : short vote posts without reason. He made the post to blend in.

From that first wagon I'm more inclined to think it's ++-- for
not
putting the third vote on Pine there. Xayzeck did what I might have done in his position. The rest of ++--'s posts show a continued avoidance of getting involved.

I'm a bit uneasy about Dry-fit - possible buddying there?

I didn't like Pine's . The last line felt a bit forced.

That's all I've got really. I was thinking either Dry-fit or Pine plus one of Jingle and Xayzeck but I have town reads on them so far so it could be there's some three-way distancing going on. However, with three out of five being scum I'm not putting too much weight on the town reads yet.

Strongest read so far is ++--.

Vote: ++--

I believe that town should give clears as much control of the lynch as possible. That's just my philosophy. Here's an example as town:
http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.ph ... 6#p5753436

The page one wagon thing is laughable. And now he's saying his push on me wasn't weak? lol

Huntress is a solid townread for me and I'll explain why. In she voices suspicion of me but ends of going for pine instead. Then in her next post she goes back to voting me. Seems very genuine to me as if she was scum and wanted her vote on me she could have just put it there in the first place. I could see it if Pine and Huntress are buddies but not seeing it right now.

++-- wrote:Because there is nothing to interact with. No post about which I could say anything at all. Absolutely zero.

But you're not putting any effort into generating interactions. I think that's what town are obligated to do when things are just getting going. But you seem fine to let things play out more slowly.

Of course the push is weak. We're three pages into the game, when you discount the opening posts. Any push is weak at this point, in part because you haven't posted enough to make a full case against. You've done like, two things, no I find them both scummy. Expecting more is ludicrous

What I don't get is that you're confident in your read in the first quote, but then say it's a weak push in the second. Doesn't make sense to me. Are you confident in your read on me or not?

Whoa misrep

Confident in interpretation, but evidence is thin. Evidence on anyone is thin at is time, but abdicating responsibility for your vote while slipping quietly onto a flash wagon is just not Town-intentioned

There is a very simple reason for that. Once there is something that happened, I can interact with it, but I'm absolutely awful at generating stuff to be interacted on.

In post 85, Pine wrote:

Oh, please. It's quite often the case that something as scummy as that actually comes from town. With good players, you have to look at the details instead of the "obvious scumtells". I'm not saying that it's a towntell, because it surely isn't, especially with a game with such a high proportion of scum in it, but it definitely isn't a scumtell either.

If I'd wanted an easy wagon I could have stayed on Dry-fit, or moved to Xayzeck following the IC's, rather than opening myself to criticism by following the most recent votes. But I think Xayzeck may be town and I was split between Dry and Pine, so I moved to a stronger scum read.

What are your reads on Jingle and Xayzeck?

In post 86, Dry-fit wrote:Possible buddying where?

It was sparked by your immediately after I voted you. Your comments about following the ICs also fed into it (but you backed that up in so I'm less bothered about that now).

About Jingle, I could surely see his play coming from scum motivation. I'd say that he is leaning towards scum. I'm not really sure what to think about Xay. His page one L-2 would be a bold move from scum, but at the same time, it would also be a strange move from town, and that was by far his most remarkable move in this game so far, so let's say that I don't really have a read on him.
