So I did a little metagaming on you and you've done this EXACT same thing in a game you are currently in. What's the story? A tactic or a tell? I apologize that I cannot link the thread but the game is ongoing so we can't talk about it (via the rules) but it's safe to say that this wasn't a "slip up" in this game, he's done it before.klopyrev wrote:vote klopyrev!!! Can I vote for myself? Please remove your head from your ass before you vote.-

@Mod
You put Jester on there twice, once with my vote, and once with Lowell's vote.
Also, pleaseprod Nanosauromo and Lowell
klop wrote:About the whole unvoting business between ST and AmeliaLi. Has anyone actually noticed that AmeliaLi voted for ST in the first place? If they are both mafia, as some have suggested, that would have been a sneaky move on AmeliaLi's side. Considering its the first move of the game, its just plainly odd and stupid, isn't it? Therefore, AmeliaLi and ST can't both by scum.
The usual term for scum attacking each other to throw off suspicion is "distancing". It's a common practice.ryan wrote:Klopyrev: That theory doesn't fly my friend. Scum can vote eachother, fight with eachother, they can do whatever they want to throw off the town. Those two can be just as scummy as anyone else here. It's called deception and I've seen enough scumpairs do it that I don't take anything for granted
The biggest possible scumtell I see here is the reactions of Amelia and ST to the unvote thing. They are both rather defensive. I'm not going to vote based on this: it seems unlikely that they're both scum, and defensiveness isn't really a tell if they're not. Besides, there's plenty of attention on these two. But I willFoS: AmeliaLi, Sir Tornadojust for good measure.
I still don't suspect klopyrev more than anyone else. Just because he's a newbie with a short attention span doesn't mean he's Mafia.
Lowell has not been incredibly active across the site, but he's posted plenty in other games since the 22nd. We don't have a very complicated situation here, so he should at least be able to get in a post.
So, until he gets back and starts posting semi-regularly:
Unvote
Vote: LowellPolitical Correctness offends me.-

Yeah basically I'm a little out of touch in most of my games recently. I'll be able to turn that around Monday, but until then I'll basically be in and out. Sorry about that. I trust nothing too important will happen until then.
With a deadline pending...this really has set off my scum-dar more than anything yet in this game. How convenient would it be if Lowell (assuming he is scum) gets back and someone has been lynched already. “sorry, been a little out of touch” before that lynch keeps him in the clear till day 2? You have committed to the game, play it…or isLowell wrote:Sorry I'm here. Got my prod.

holy jesus, lynch the lurkers is a horrid idea...lurking DOES NOT equal scum...it can be scummy, but not for sure scum...I would hate to improve the mafia's odds against us if we lynched a quiet townie...AmeliaLi wrote:
Lets get rid of them. Seeing as how they aren't truely here anyways.ryan wrote:AmeliaLi: I'd like your opinion on something. What should we do to the lurkers in the game?

Threatening to Lynch them is also a good way to prod them....ryan wrote:
Good to see it drew you out to start posting. So who is making your scum list currently? As for "lynching lurkers" I'm more into "prodding lurkers"Dral wrote:Who said anything about a deadline?>.> I changed my email on crywolf20084....

I am totally opposed to lynch all lurkers strategy. We are here to lynch scum, not the lurkers. Lurkers are not always scum. In a game, all the scum can choose to be active early on, take control of the early proceedings and then say we should lynch all the lurkers, a viable strategy except that the lurkers turn out to be townies.
I would like to see lurkers post right now without needing to pressurize them. Pressurizing the lurkers makes matters worse, because when put under pressure, lurkers, even if they are townies begin to show scumtells, and this makes it easier for the scum to push for a townie mis-lynch.I'm back!-

Sir Tornado: Pressuring lurkers is sometimes our best route in getting some content. If people aren't going to post, won't reply to their prods, I'd rather see them replaced BUT I have no problem putting a little pressure on somebody who is posting but not posting content. If they can't handle the pressure they will be no help to us in the end game when it comes to mafia pressuring them and causing us to lose. I want the strongest players on my team when we go to the end to take out the scum. Please remove your head from your ass before you vote.-

And I highly agree to that statement. Hence why I orignally said lynch the lurkers!ryan wrote:Sir Tornado: Pressuring lurkers is sometimes our best route in getting some content. Don't worry I was joking about lynching them. We can pressure and prod them, if it helps to get some sort of responce out of this rather dead day one.ryan wrote:How about prod the lurkers or pressure the lurkers instead?
