Phoebus and Shanba stab Snichkin with their last stake. Blood slowly oozes from Snichkin's body. Snichkin laughs and spots blood into Phoebus's face. Phoebus licks the blood from his lips, mmmm, tasty. Shanba watches Phoebus enjoy the blood and gasps. Phoebus' hand grips around Shanba's neck and throws Shanba into a tree. Shanba begins to cry, he can see the end is near... Phoebus appears on top of Shanba and his mouth lingers next to Shanba's neck...

btw, I am extremely pissed with the way this was run. Half the time I felt like the mod wasn't paying attention, and though he could hardly be blamed for the massive flood of people disappearing, the modkills basically crippled us days 2 and 3. I completely lost interest at one point, but I did put thought into my endgame decision (I just felt posting the reasons was superfluous at that point). I am flabbergasted that you didn't even try and replace them, or try and do something before the situation became untenable (they didn't all leave at once, it was a gradual process). So yes, I feel that may well havecost us the game.

The only townies who looked remotely town in this game to me were Aude and elias. That didn't help, as while Phoeb was on my suspect list, he was always on the backburner. I think a few more days would have helped even that out.

My original strategy for the game was to look as townie as possible: if I wasn't recruited, that would let me avoid being the lynch and give us a better chance of hitting scum, while at the same time, should I be recuited, giving me some credibility. I felt that worked fairly well, as I was never really a suspect. Also, I felt that getting reactions day 1 was crucial: in a game with a cult that is dependent on it's leader getting lynched means that dramatic reversals of opinion could well be the result of a townie attacking the vampire being recruited. I was planning on getting every player to have some opinions on as many players as possible (when none of the had any other allegiances, and only 1 was actively trying to deceive us) and then referring back to that on later days. I was vehemently opposed to no lynch for this reason: it would have wrecked any reactions I got as there's no genuine pressure when you know you won't be lynched. Plus, it would have spoiled the purity of the playing field.

That plan was wrecked when the chronic lurking started, and frankly I began to lose interest at that point. Also, the crash dampened my motivation somewhat, losing, as it did, my attacks on Yesterdays. Then there were the modkills and we basically went into endgame with no information.

Scotmany's weak, agreeable tones day 1 struck as exactly how a lone scum who loses if he is lynched would act day 1, when he has no scumbuddies. Snich... he had flip-flopped a few times, he had declared as scummy actions that he himself had done in thread, his play seemed different to how he had played in the newbie game. I admit that also losing to him would have really hurt, whereas losing to Phoebus is just gutting, after putting in work.

/sigh. Phoebus played well. So did Elias. I reckon if the game had continued, though, we would have won, Phoebus had difficult win condition and there were players who would certainly have pursued him.

Don't hate me Shanba! I still owe you! :)

1) Berry, please make sure you're going to be interested in modding a game when you're up for it, rather than just hanging about in Mish Mash.
2) A day start with a single recruiting scum? Did you really want a very definite possibility of this game ending day one?

I was not going to post at all once this was over but I think I just wanted to tip my hat to Shanba for being a rat in scumchat.

I still disagree with that stupendous "active lurking" theory but I don't wish to pursue this thread any longer.

Oh and I did ask the mod to flavour it as me converting you but I guess he didn't like the idea...

Cause I'm an idiot, thats why elias. Apologies. I was just fed up with this game, and when I calmed down, I was already lynched.
