We should make a guild or all join the same one or something.
I don't particularly want to create a guild. I've done that song and dance before with MSers, it never works. Plus, if Wildstar & FF14 taught me anything, it's that dealing with the creation/recruiting/etc of a guild sucks the fun out of a game for me over just joining something preestablished.
It's largely a healer/positioning check. As long as your timing on healing the shrooms is roughly on point, you should be good. Creeping moss isnt too bad as long as firefighters keep on top of it.
We added another healer on the last run, but forgot to switch him off the flamethrowers, so it was basically just me doing moss. With that, I was able to keep it in check until around 70%. With us doing it properly with another dps on it next time, we should be pretty good.
You do shit DPS as Fury/Arms in the early iLvls, so you have to gear as Protection (Gladiator) in order to be competitive... but then, once you start climbing in gear level, Gladiator stance becomes utter trash and you need to do Fury, which has a completely separate set of secondary stats.
Finally downed normal imperator last night. I can see why so many guilds have been skipping him and moving straight to heroic.
Speaking of heroic: Up to 4/7! Yay! We were probably 20 seconds off the zerk timer on Tectus too, which considering we managed to get Butcher on heroic down, is kind of baffling.
Glad Warrior feels like old school Fury. Build, build, build, dump all the rage in a 5 second window. Then repeat.
New Fury is pretty much a giant procfest, no real rage dump mechanic... just keep rage teetering around 70, if you go over use heroic strike to dump, otherwise use whatever procs pop up.
I need to figure out the gear level breakpoint for Gladiator/Fury in terms of theoretical DPS.
Right now, my much simpler/easier DPS rotation with Fury is being dominated by my super complex/timing based/harder DPS rotation with Gladiator.
I actually only understand how to play Gladiator in a vague manner and most of it just winds up being button mashing, and I'm still crushing my Fury DPS.
My guild 1-shotted normal Butcher, but was still wiping after 3-4 tries on Tectus.
Butcher is more gear-oriented (there are mechanics, but it's largely a healing check), and Tectus is more skill-oriented. My first try at Butcher on normal, we wiped at 60,000 health left.
Also, I don't think I've been here before so hi. I play Alliance on Uldaman/Ravencrest but also have level 90+ alts on Alliance Stormrage and Horde Darkspear.
i feel like we should all say hi back and make this like a WoW anonymous meeting
But what he says is true. The gearcheck gets a bit tighter on heroic Tectus, but mechanically doesn't change at all. You may take a few extra AoEs without gear, and that starts to add up.
