Nocmen, did you try to kill anyone last night?"When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -Reiner Knizia

Ok, im going through as much as the thread as I can, and I will comment on things I see.
Post 49: CES says that we need to go after Coron because he is winning Farkle...this shows nothing major on his end, just his early pushing towards Coron for leading Farkle.
Then there is the whole debate of Farkle vs. Mafia, which I feel I need to criticize Dagger for focusing more on Frakle than Mafia, possibly a scum tactic.
CES then still pushes a Coron lynch.
Dagger, someone saying he would earlier focus more on Farkle than Mafia, goes after me, when I hadn't even rolled for Farkle yet, while others were lurking at the same time.
CES then jumps on my bandwagon, without much reason, aside from bandwagoning.
CES, with a vote in my bandwagon, still wants to go after Coron, and has little reasoning. I don't like this, as he acts as if he should vote for any bandwagon, even if he doesn't really agree with it.
Thesp raises some concern, I don't like his reasoning behind votes in early day 1.
After I admit what happened was an early mistake, Thesp and Coron both come more onto me. Dagger then moves against Mojo, for Mojo's actions towards me.
Thesp to me, from post 232, seems that he is just agreeing more to what people are saying, or disagreeing, while not contributing anything major.
Coron, when pressed by Seol, continues to make his main priority leading in Farkle.
Dagger then goes off from agreeing with me, to pushing me via a bandwagon.
Later, after I had to claim and explain my mistake that somewhat paid off N0 for the town, Dagger doesn't like the idea of having two kills each night.
With what I have read, I really don't like both CES and Dagger. However, I can see some basis of Dagger's reasoning, while CES's day one makes no sense, when he constantly pushed a feeling in his gut.

@CES: Then, you should have stated you have a metagame reason to go after Coron on Day 1, right? Instead of claiming it was due to gut feeling when asked?
@Nocmen:
1. Frankly, I am more excited about the Farkle aspect of this game than the gameplay itself. I myself am in several games as of the moment (9 games, to be exact) and the distinguishing factor this game has over the others is the Farkle part.
2. The only thing I am absolutely certain of in this game is that I am town. While I am leaning town on you right now due to your vig claim and your absence of kill the night before, I cannot be absolutely certain you are town. It was even more so on Day 1, when I tend to go for who I think is the scummiest as of that point.-

I'm not sure who said it, but late yesterday (in game) someone mentioned that the vig is like a second lynch. To be honest, I really did not see anyone who stood out to me, and my own personal gut should not lead me to make a kill that may or may not be scum. I did not want to mess up and kill another townie if that happened. I feel that it would hurt us quite alot, as well as the fact I did not like the 20% odds of hitting scum (Assuming 3 people here are scum, Dean is dead, there were 10 going into night, so 2 scum of those 10).Thesp wrote:

I'd already said that. It was the 'acting strange' part of my post. Also, with the metagame, I meant the fact that he was leading the Farkle game (not sure if that qualifies as metagaming, but you get the point).Dagger wrote:@CES: Then, you should have stated you have a metagame reason to go after Coron on Day 1, right? I suppose I better give you the benefit of the doubt while we discuss this...
unvote: ces
but I've played in a few games where the mafia have a role-blocker. Just sayin'.
Although...why didn't you block nocmen if you were afraid he might kill you?
question to mod: does a roleblocker block any abilites gained by farkle?-

I meant the roleblocker in those games was actually mafia, or scum.Cogito Ergo Scum wrote:Actually, almost any mafia's got a roleblocker.
I blocked Coron because I thought he was scum, and because I thought I could block his Farkle ability. I didn't block Nocmen because I wasn't really afraid of being killed.
I think you're metagame-based grudge against coron has had bad consequences on the game for the town, and while part of me wants you to be punished for it, the other part is telling me a role-blocker could come in handy.
I'm just wondering now how many roles there are in this game, and whether a mass claim would be a good thing (note: I am not suggesting it, I am just musing on the prospect of it). I have a feeling that if a lot of us have roles then the mafia will probably have roles as well to balance things, so you are not confirmed in my eyes just yet (that is even if you are telling the truth).-

Happy with my vote. I don't want to see CES use his role in the game again, unless its an endgame situation."When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -Reiner Knizia

How? I'm not against telling people how to use their roles, I'm against bad advice, and against certain circumstances.ThAdmiral wrote:Ooh, telling people how to use their roles. If you think like this, there wouldn't be any good reason for a town roleblock to block someone ever. Unless you're 100% sure someone's scum.Dagger wrote:So... why in the world would you want to block Coron even if he won the Farkle game? If he was town, the ability he gained could have helped us a lot. And that's not to mention if Coron might in fact be using a pro-town ability Night 1.
Kilmenator's being paranoid, and I'm getting bad vibes from her too. I know that I'm not really in the position to attack someone right now, so that's just for the record.-
