Why did the activity die?

BBT, I'd like your comments on the last paragraph of my post above this one.

Pine:
If you're town, now is the time to be active. I am displeased that the town decided to go apathetic at this point in the game. Come on, things are tense and exciting! Everyone should be joining in.

this is where I'm at. the thing that made pines claim impossible for me to swallow was not that my role makes it unlikely. after recent games I've sworn I won't over rate setup spec again any time soon.

the thing that made it impossible was scriptens bp claim. yeah setup spec but that was a town too powerful for p much anything that could be handed to a scum team.

a bp claim which turned out to be false.

I know I have a tendency to look too hard for ways people can be town because I hate mislynches. and hate then even more at lylo.

pine has been around the block. his complete unquestioning scum call on me bugs me for that reason. it bugs me enough that even without the added bp consideration I think he's scum. if we had the leeway I'd be willing to test his basin with a bbt lynch.

but I can't. after sleeping on it there is no way I'll vote anyone other than pine today.

you have the decision scripten. I won't vote until you are ready for the day to end.

I don't see a BP claim from Scripten?

In a 9-player game, two weak investigators is just too much Town power, though I suppose a full Ninja could mitigate it by making scum effectively immune until Ninja is eliminated. Hmm. A question for D4, after BBT flips. I'm willing to lower suspicion of ffery from 99.9% to 90%, given that remote possibility

That said, if you're so certain, your vote should be down. Anything else looks like hypocrisy and hedging

When you make a definitive, 100%-going-to-do-this statement, and then you don't do it, it's always scummy. Right now, it's clearly hesitation to make sure all your ducks are in a row before you do it, because when you vote and I don't get hammered, people get cleared as confirmed Town

I'm not. By all means, don't vote.

I'm pointing out the cog diss of saying one thing and doing another

Besides, the only way I see is both as possibly Town is with a full Ninja on the scumteam. We already know it's not BBT, so there's 50% of the team excluded

I fakeclaimed BP in my hood. It is possible that I am alive only because of this, but that would require Fferyllt to be scum.

There's no ninja. There's me, a Neighborizer, and either you or Fferyllt as Tracker/Watcher respectively. That's the only setup that makes any sense.

BBT is scum if Fferyllt is scum. He's 50% likely to be scum if you are scum. Your play is currently anti-town and you're not paying much attention to this game right now. You seem convinced that BBT will flip, so I'm beginning to hedge toward a Pine/Mathdino scumteam. There has been new information since you "made your case" so I would enjoy it if you would make an attempt to play in a pro-town manner.

Alternatively, keep playing as you are if you are scum and I'll be glad to see you lynched.

Either you or Pine is scum. Therefore, I see no problem with you having your votes on one another, as long as no one else is voting. Frankly, though, we don't really need votes on anyone right now and I'd appreciate people stop pushing others to vote in LyLo with discussion happening.

__________________________________________________________________

Also, just had another thought. Pine and BBT are crossvoting, but nobody has yet quickhammered. That means that at least one of those two is not town. If they were both town, scum would have quickhammered and won the game. Maddeningly, this doesn't rule out any of the three possible scumteams, (scum crossvoting in LyLo isn't unheard of) but it is a thought to consider nonetheless.

Fuck you, Scripten. I'm not playing in an anti-Town manner, I have a guilty verdict and scum counter claiming me. Nor am I not paying attention. Notice how this is the second time today you've shot activity requests at me, and both times I've responded within half an hour

I'm not the one stalling here. I have the closest thing to proof about the scumteam as you can get, and you jackasses are stalling and theorizing about irrelevant bullshit

What do we need to do for you to stop sitting on the fence and choose? The cases are quite plainly laid out, you need to get off your ass and make a choice

VCA doesn't really help. D1 lynch was all Town (unless setup is crazy and Scripten's playing a really good game), D2 lynch only scum was ffery

I'm trying to nail scum instead of letting you antagonizing me into voting, so the strong language is unnecessary. Your methods are definitely making me want to vote you, but I'm holding back because you might just be trying to strongarm me because that's your town play. Tempted to meta you. We have time before deadline and I don't feel like losing.

You won't find meta. I've never been in the position of having a guilty in LYLO, much less two effective guilties. It's incredibly frustrating

Try to see it from my point of view, then. Currently, I have a confirmed guilty on one of two players and I have to essentially guess which one.

Also, plenty easy enough to search your posts to see how you play as town. :)

It's been described as erratic. I tend not to conform to any one style. Different games are just plain different.

Alright, I'm relatively convinced that BBT is scum.

I'm going to sleep on this and come back in once BBT and the other players have had time to weigh in. I'll most likely be voting tomorrow. If there's no discussion, I'll be assuming that a BBT lynch is copacetic with the town.

Scripten, brother, I've decided BBT was scum since before any of these claims.

Regardless, hate to say it, but your entire post was kind of wasted since we
already have the possible scumteams figured out
, and speculating further on that isn't actually gonna help anyone. Personally I'm waiting for BBT to come back and explain his BS.

fferyllt, the fact that you're still considering even the possibility of your being wrong about this is getting on my nerves. And by that I mean making me nervous. If you're town, Pine is scum. Me/BBT is not possible. Neighborizer is already insanely powerful, Watcher is insanely powerful, you think a ninja will balance out a tracker?

Regardless, there's a 50% chance from my standpoint y'all get it right if you vote Pine, so I don't particularly care. Consider the possible scumteams from each of our standpoints:
Scripten (control): Pine/Mathdino, Pine/BBT, fferyllt/BBT
Pine: fferyllt/BBT
BBT: Pine/Mathdino
fferyllt: Pine/Mathdino, Pine/BBT
Mathdino: Pine/BBT, fferyllt/BBT
All it'd take for us to override Scripten's waffling on what to do is for me or fferyllt to decide to overcome our whole "this person is 100% scum" and vote for the 50%. Unfortunately, unlikely to happen.

This is all useless. I want BBT to get in here.

Oh hey I didn't see your last post.

Scripten, we need to come up with a plan for testing Pine before you lynch.

Mod, if there were a hypothetical neighborizer that added players to a hypothetical neighborhood, would he/she be allowed to self target? Would he/she be allowed to target someone already in the hood?

Here's my thoughts:
A. In the event mod doesn't allow any of that shit:
Flip a coin. If heads, neighborize me. If tails, don't. Don't let anything else factor into this decision. Pine tracks you, and if he gets it wrong, we lynch him.

B. In the event mod allows any of that shit:
Flip a coin. If heads, neighborize me. If tails, neighborize yourself, fferyllt, or no one (1/3 chance each). If you're still alive, you can confirm your own decision. If I'm alive, I can only confirm whether I was neighborized.

The problem occurs if Pine is ACTUALLY a scum tracker, which would kind of make sense if you think about it. I still want to do this though.
