I would keep a light splash for Flying crane technique since its likely free anyway.
Weapon master and tracker are pretty easily cuttable, but there's a chance its correct to play the snowhorn riders off the free splash as well. The black is almost certainly replacable, and if it isn't you should almost certainly be only playing throttle of the cards he's playing.tout comprendre c'est tout pardonner-

Why am I not surprised that you would ask for advice about a format you've almost never played, and then insist you know more about the format than someone who plays it every other week.
Spoiler:
Here's the fucking pool, have fun jacking off over how much better you are at Magic because you played a pre-release, you self-absorbed arsewipe.-

I'm saying you are going to get like 1/50 pools that lets you run that manabase.Taking a break from the site.-

I disagree chamber.
I think that a lot of the manabases I see are caused by lack of discipline. Morphs (aside from a few of them) are mostly interchangible. People choose to play ones that are slightly better when they're off color which is just wrong to me. you should be able to make all of your spells besides bombs and premium removal and all of your creatures besides the absolute bombs and morphs be in 1 of 2 colors. This allows the sort of mana base I'm talking about. I think all it takes is discipline. Like, given KoCs pool I could definitely make a 2 color deck splashing 3 colors that had totally acceptable mana using that formula (for instance, not trying to cast 2 double U spells off of 4 U sources.)tout comprendre c'est tout pardonner-

If I'm talking about his pool I think he built it poorly. I think his manabase is closer to how manabases end up in this format than what you are saying though. I've seen like a dozen pools opened on streams give or take and 1 had a manabase like the one you want. I don't think any of the others were even close to a deck that could both win and have a manabase like that. Fuck, most of the time you don't even open the lands for it.
I'm pretty sure I'd cut the non multicolor blue spells from his pool and play the solid white playables that he isn't as well as armament core, that lets you cut the island for a plains. I also cut at least 1 more mountain for a plains.Taking a break from the site.-

You are not going to have a sealed pool where you can be one or two colors upwards on 90% of the time, shea. This set is very janky in sealed and due to all the fixing rewards going deep in multiple colors.
The deck I posted is something similar to what you are suggesting and is about as close as you can get to a focused 2-color deck in sealed in this format without the god-pool.
Like, go watch Cheon or MJ or any of the streamers streaming the PTQQ and you'll see some wild manabases.
Draft is completely different, of course, and I think the closer to two colors you get in draft the better.Natirasha is just a vestige, it's Contessa now.-

I mean I personally disagree with the "default to a four/five color deck" crowd and I'd much rather build a base two colored clan deck. I went 6-2 at my last PTQ with UR Temur while my brother playing Abzan featuring Blue went 4-4 and that was despite him having reasonable fixing into blue sometimes he'd be just missing white or something. I know in one of the two rounds I lost that I lost game one to drawing eight lands including both my RG tap lands, four mountains and two forests aka no blue sources; Thousand Winds is a powerful card but not when you have to desperation cast it as a Gray Ogre, same with all the commons five colors morphs.-

I don't think I could do it. I had a hard time getting Christopher Rush to sign old Mana Leaks (sidenote: he's the coolest artist to talk to besides RK Post. Loved talking about weird art requests from WotC)-

I know theres differing persecptives re: signatures, so lemme give you context.
It was my 18th birthday, i get a package from my uncle. A cigar box. I open it up to find the black lotus. (Best present ever)
It turns out way back then, my uncle actually opened the lotus from a pack, one of 3 he had. He sold them a couple years later, along with most of his M:tg collection to purchase a house.
Before my 18th birthday, the uncle tracked down the person he sold one to, and asked him if he was willing to give it back to uncle for my bday gift, the person agreed.
I was really throlled about this, naturally. But i do not have the kind of captial to even think about getting a vintage deck, so i framed it. I view it as an artwork.
Then a few weeks ago, when i knew i was going to the gp, and found out chris rush was gonna be there, i had a big internal discussion about wheter or not to get it signed. I finally decided to, for the following reasons:
A) to me its a piece of art, and art should have the artist's signature
B) i personally like signed cards, i think it just adds a extra coolness factor, knowing that the card actually met its illrustator.
C) i knew that a signed black lotus might be deprecated in value to many collectors, but on the other hand, due to its history i was never gonna sell it
So yeah, i got somebody to sharpie my lotus.
PegrineV: that same uncle bought a game store that went under. The big lotus, and a big juzam djinn was included with the other stuff, so he gave me all the mtg related stuff.-
