This, paradoxically, I think, really has hurt Magic in another way because before the ban, reynad was the number one twitch streamer of MTG--MJ was gettng ~1-2k views at the time and Andrey was getting ~3-5k. After this incident, he jumped ship and is now one of the top Hearthstone streamers(I always see him with between 15-20k views) and he takes every chance he gets to shittalk MtG and WotC. I would not doubt in the slightest that he has hurt them in some slight way, honestly.
I do agree with his statement in the article, though, that the DCI should not be able to issue bans for things said on social media.
WOW that guy seems like a massive douchenozzle.

Reynad's a dick, but he is actually good at card games and seeing him insult the chat/his opponent/everything is pretty funny. Plus his stream is a constant string of insults back at him.
I am, allegedly, everything wrong with the internet too.
I like a level down from that. AJ Sacher for instance will come at you if you're being an aggressively stupid person, but usually his chat interactions are pretty civil.
I like watching Caleb Durward when he streams. He's friendly and explains so much of what he's doing. I'm also a sucker for Draft streams like Numot. (Also Joe Lossett because I wish I could play any deck like he plays Miracles)
Everyone makes thought mistakes like that sometimes, even the streamers themselves. The problem is that when you have 1000 people watching you play, 1 of them is going to think you're an idiot for not making the play they think is right, which they only think is right because they made a dumb fuck up. On like every play SOMEONE suggests something really stupid.
The solution is that as someone participating in chat, you really need to run what you are about to say through a filter. (this normally means someone that doesn't mentions it first, but sometimes they don't) Thus explaining why I make a comment in a twitch chat like once a month.
My comments are intentionally dumb (and I only comment on LRR twitch chats). Things like when they have a longshot squad and put a 1/1 counter on a flier, commenting about how it can block fliers now that it has reach.

I watch Cheon, MJ and occasionally solebush on twitch. Numot is too boring for me. MtG on twitch is mostly dead though. I'd rather watch games with small, vibrant communities like Civilization.
I loved their draft last Thursday. They drafted and played Empty the Pits as well as Flying Crane Technique.

I've watched some of his hearthstone stuff. didn't put the real name that the article is under alongside his play name. He's a whiny bitch in almost every video. Either he's an arrogant tool when he wins, or he bitches and moans about RNG when he loses. It's a personal thing of mine, but I cannot stand people that "take credit, delegate blame".
I wouldn't want to play against him in either a professional or casual setting, and any notion of cheating furthers that reluctance. Begone.

It's a very good card. But I hate it. It just seems
so
much better than most of the other cards.

Played soltaire with my belcher deck, got curious, turns out the absolute max of what i can do (assuming stacked deck, perfect draws) is 278 life drained, 278 life gained, 840 1/1 tokens in play, 2 mana left floating (hit 41 assorted mana at one point), storm of 76 (played 76 spells this turn), with 19 cards left in deck.

Uh.
Context?
I lost a game to it when literally nothing else could win him the game. Twice.

I remember a long time ago maro mentioning that they don't print lifelink on big creatures at common because they are too swingy. I think abzan guide is a good indicator that a 4/4 is too big.
Went 6-2 and took 12th at the Dayton PTQ; one of my losses was to PT San Diego runner-up Kyle Boggemes who had a double Zurgo/Sorin deck. Not much you can do against that except hope they get mana-screwed.
