The main reason I was working under the assumption that NS was confirmed is because I found he had a shard N2. I didn't think scum would start the game with shards.

This morning, after a night that scum knew I got an investigation off, Mhork is shown to have been killed. Scum knew that he would be revealed as a shareholder...and everyone would realize that scum could indeed start the game with shards.

Within an hour, I make my first post of the day. NS makes his first post of the day within the next two minutes, revealing he "somehow" has a shard.

There is no mechanic shown for this. NS has made no mention of this ability previously.

Short version: I think scum were concerned I investigated NS again...after he said he had his shard stolen. Which means he killed a shardholder at some point.

So...he preemptively outted the information, and asked us to explain how it happened.

Feel free to shoot holes.

To clarify the bolded: Remember that this is exactly what I tried to do to Neil; investigate him after he said he didn't have a shard.

Still need to reread the first couple days to check if AD could have plausibly inferred what he said about the shards, but haven't had time/energy to do so. I remember the shard thing being a surprise when ns claimed it.
