i've been playing him for a while. I hope to have an edge on the rest of everybody. There was a work around to get him unlocked in bot games.

Sadly i'll probably suck as badly as ever. Although i've managed to pinpoint my main problem. I really suck at last hitting.

Other option, Beastmaster. Beastmaster was the main option at my main country to counter Techies at DotA 1.

Edit: if mines are composite then omni shield cuts mine damage in half because the magical half gets ignored.

Best starting build imo is 3 clarities and a sobi mask and a tp scroll. TP to lane immediately to start settings mines in your chosen location (rune spot, the choke point in the safe lane, side shop).

Best build is tp + soulring recipe + 7 clarities. 3 clarities doesnt give you enough mana regen for early game.

Actually 0.9 mana regen seems low (someone verify in game), but either way you get probably at most an extra .75mana/sec which equates to 45 mana regen/min which is just nowhere near enough for techies.

Actually, land mines lvl 1 cd is 25s and 125 mana. I think sobi mask is better.

As the game start, you only have 1 minutes to plan 2 mines and 30s creeps walking and start farm, perhaps 3 mines planted, yet you need exp.

And I rather have Suicide at first skill. Don't you guys?

Suicides not useful and dying while trying to walk up to an enemy to suicide is always lolzy.

Techies are the most mana dependent hero in the game and if you go sobi first, you'll run out of mana after your first 5 mines rendering you useless for the next 5mins.
