Huh?
Wait...weren't you only supposed to design ONE protown role? Or did you mean somehting else...
And besides, froggurl, the issue here is..wait, you may be sort of onto something.
I'd better go ahead and read thru again...

I sent in 2 of each (good & evil) so he could pick the better one. Or, possibly, use both. Not sure what he decided to do.

I think mneme already covered the problem with an all roles designed claim- in most cases, scum can just claim the pro-town role submitted by the same person who submitted their anti-town role. This'll work as long as the role isn't provable (they'd only have to claim changes to their role that make it unprovable) or in weird situations like the Hobo/Traitor. Also, as long as anyone who has a role that can figure out who designed what roles is dead, the scum can just lie about their pro-town roles, or say that other people lied about theirs when they claim.

unvote: Leonidas
since he's posted.

It's been a few days, but I can't help but think there might be more to mneme's little April 1 drama than meets the eye.

OK, April Fool is long gone so I can reappear.
ages >> according to an online translator, that doens't seem to be polish.
Mike Amok >> Totem's post does seem to be Polish. For instance, prosze definitely means please.
:) never trust online translator , above post was indeed in Polish but I didn't expect you to translate it :) I basically said that due to new regulations in my office we were banned from sending any private messages in languages other than Polish. Just a quick April Fool joke.
This was good 1.IV many jokes. The one with signing people for German sugar worked best.(Long story. We join European Union in 4 weeks. I had no idea our sugar was so cheap. The price raised recently 200%)

Back to game. What is general agreement on revealing created roles? I thought about it and I don't think that me revealing the roles I created could benefit the game. I think every protown player should watch for signs of activity of the evil role he created but what exactly to do next I don't know. The problem is the roles are so easy to twist in many ways.

What some people do to check their posts is: Write it as a PM, preview it in the PM screen, if it looks good then copy/paste the original message into the quick reply box here. Sure it's roundabout, but it works for now.

I personally am not going to reveal the roles I created.
I really like mine. I want to keep the opportunity to try and guess who has mine and how and if it was tweaked.
And if the person who has it knows it was me who made it it would take out the surprise. I want the end game posts to be like " Yay your role was pretty neat" " aw yours sucked it was so not for me"
etc.

I put a lot into thinking up those roles!
What is the point of using foul language, downright rudeness, slurs, etc on a gaming site? This is really distasteful.

Well, I like how everyone is now deciding to hold their roles back, after I had just shown mine, not to mention the fact that originally I didn't really find it to be the greatest idea, but heh. I guess that is just the way that it goes I guess...any ways, now that I have them out I can't take them back, but I will say that those are only two of my roles and that I will not be submitting any other ones.

Well that is why I asked you what you meant by agreement Nanook. When you had posted yours I could not tell what you meant by it with all of the different ways to come to an agreement...plus other things.

Only two? Do you have more? If so why had you held them back?

Hm you are the second to mention/seem to say that you gave in more than 2.

Yes, I do have more and I am holding them back for the fact that I don't think that I should have to reveal any more of my roles...I submitted more so that the mod could have even more to choose from is all. Plus I liked to have fun with my roles too and didn't want to give away my favorites. I too would like to see if anyone may have them.

hmm, a lot of day 1 discussion has seemed to involve debating on revealing roles vs. not revealing roles. I personally dont know what roles my predecessor submitted - but I think the game would be more fun if we didnt all reveal the roles- but perhaps just staying silent until someone is forced to make a roleclaim and then we can probably back them up with that claim (unless the submitter is dead). Also we can go into further details about the dead's roles.

You probably should have, but It's a bit late now, BlueSin...
But i've noticed the debatng swinging form those two topics, and I think that was should just let it play out. When soemone needs to claim, it'll be easier to back them up because someone here designed that role.

Leo...can we get a confirmation that what you said is legit and can be backed up, or was it an april 1st thing? Really don't want to go after someone if it was just meant as a joke.

Other than that, I'm not sure where to take this conversation. We're kind of just sitting here stagnating.

I submited 1 protown and one antitown role. Looking at two dead my roles wasn't THAT unusual as I thought.
I wonder what we do next? Leo, more info please?

FrogGurl, not only scum could find a way of knowing if the role is in the game, but also your Hobo could off been tweaked to make it scum. Not extremely likely, yet possible. Anyways, I think the focus should be weather Leo is joking or not, but I guess that until he gets back we won't know.

Leonidas has been around in Military School Mafia over the past few days. My impression is that he's not posting here deliberately. In most games I would assume that meant he was hiding, but in this one, I'm inclined to believe it means he has a posting restriction of some sort. Why don't we get a claim out of God and then decide how to proceed?

Better than nothing I suppose. I wonder what kind of posting restriction would keep him from here entirely...just odd to me. But then again I haven't been around this place as long as some, maybe it's not so odd.

I suggest we ignore the Leo/God thing for now. If Leo is restricted from posting anymore today, he should hopefully be able to tomorrow. There are a few possibilities that come to my mind:
1. Somebody targetted him, restricting him to only one post, possibly controlling his vote,
2. He's a cop who has a posting restriction if he finds scum,
3. He's faking.
If it's 1, I expect that role would not be allowed to target the same person on consecutive days. If it's 2, he's unlikely to get two in a row right off the bat. If it's 3, we can take care of that by lynching him if he keeps it up. So I suggest we wait until tomorrow, and if his condition doesn't change, consider lynching him then.

Well I am still not sure but if he is not talking this long something must be happening.
unvote: Leo
posibility 1. and 2. is wierd, but that is a wierd game. If Leo is not faking the restriction this coud mean he is protown.
Any of you designed protown role with wierd restrictions?
I can say that this does not look a bit like the roles I designed so I am clueless switching back to

I think Mike Amok's argument for waiting on Leonidas makes sense, but also it might be helpful if FrogGurl used her power on him for tonight. That will help us to identify his role without him having to post anything (presuming he has a post restriction tomorrow, too). But, for lack of a better lead, I'm still inclined to push for a role-claim from God.

Totem,
mind to explain the reason you vote for Stewie?

Mike Amok,
nice prediction. But I still doubt that this kind of restriction is allow to exist, even tough this is a weird game.
