the towniest thing that can be done at this point is to engage with your group. as town, you know that most likely 1 of the 2 people in your group is scum. so, upon entry into the game, why would you be inclined to show you agree with a statement someone from your group (who could easily be scum) about someone who isn't in your group.

Because hes VLA due to his laptop charger being blown up. Guessing he didnt read the thread and just made a quick post to confirm or whatever.

I voted him simply because Naz did. Hes in my group so why not. Also, unless someone does particularly scummy, I wont be giving town or scum reads on anyone outside of my group until we merge. There are better odds at finding scum imo but not swaying others reads outside of your group. You could sway someone correctly, but you know none of their alignements unless youre scum.

Egopost, is typically done by Hydra Heads (which imo is the stupidest shit ever, because it ENCOURAGES alt-slipping) in order to put the game in your "egosearch", why those two did it, if they aren't a hydra, is beyond me, but I would assume they were too busy to post actual content, which is stupid on page one. So I really have no IDEA why those two felt the need to egopost unless they are a hydra.

Dr pants is town. Process of elimination makes xyzack scum. Why is pants town? Because his (albeit defunct) arguments on why activity interacting within your group is good.
