I saw a woman retching on the pavement. Her eyes were wild, and her hair was full of dirt. She caught my eye, then stared at me for several minutes, liquid falling from her lips. I stared back. 2. FaerieLord,He had a flower in his ear when he robbed the shop. I remember it as being this insignificant detail, in the scheme of things. Newspapers like to use these little details, I suppose. To help us feel empathy with the newly dead. I don't really know how I could feel empathy with a man with a flower in his ear, though. It would take a mind I don't think I possess. He was later gunned down outside the shop, for some reason inadequately explained. They were too busy talking about the flower.
