Hi All,

Just to let you know, I'm going to be away from a computer after today until Monday evening (British time) so won't be able to post for the next few days. I will catch up upon my return and post opinions and answer questions directed at me then. If I need to be replaced as a result, then I'll completely understand, but if you can keep me in for that period of time then I'd be extremely grateful.

I'm posting this in all my games that are in the day phase.

So...just to start discussion, There's something bugging me about Vel-Rahn Koon's death. Who is this Alex, that she was supposedly hanging out with. If we find out, I'd bet we'd find our second mafia.

....Did we hit Mafia night 1? Awsome. And...is that a cult Leader? Hopefully, this will go quick enough. It should, at least. There are prolly two other people in the Mafia, but we seem to have a Vig, or at least a serial Killer, killing people off, so with two kills per 24 hour period...well, we'll see, I suppose.

IH that is a bad excuse, seeing how RAJ sent out multiple PM's telling people the game started. That same exact thing happened to me and Raj pmed me twice that the game had started. I didn't get the first one due to my inactivity on the site as a whole which is accredited to real life.

In short, that is bullshit IH.

Apologies for not being active. It was mainly joke votes and all and I really dislike the first few pages of a game. Much more coming from me very soon.

Wow, another lame excuse. No one enjoys the first few pages of a game but lurking because you "hate" them is scummy because you are hiding from giving information because you dislike the same thing that everyone else dislikes. Mafia games start off slow and are built through the interactions of the players. Those interactions are then analysed and thats how people deceide who is and is not scummy. By avoiding posting, you are purposly hiding information from the town. If no one posted during the first couple of pages then games would never exist.

I prefer to hold onto my random vote a little longer, but frankly, I'm rather annoyed with the fact that, with the exception of Mariyta, who doesn't seem to be particularly scummy, most people don't have more than 3 posts. This isn't really very helpful in finding scum, now is it?

This doesn't mean I trust you, IH, the crash is over some time now, and raj sent an extra pm as panzerjager said. But I unvoted you because you actually did something, and scotmany basically said he didn't do anything yet on purpose, because he doesn't like the first pages.

Lurking is at best a non-tell. Activity is good for the game, it gives more opportunity for people to keep scum from hiding; however, I find that often opportunistic scum will attack lurkers because it makes them look active and lurkers are an easy target. Going after people who lurk during the random voting phase is even worse.

I am completely ok with Scotmany's excuse for lurking. IH, I don't like yours. For the record, did you receive a pm from the mod alerting you to the beginning of the game? If so, why did you wait to post till after being warned about your post count not meeting requirements. It is one thing to avoid the random voting phase from distaste; it's another to not post at all. I just want clarification of this on the record.
