mainly the fact that he is being deliberately unhelpful and is unwilling to contribute to the town. I wouldnt say hes exactly scummy, but he needs to get his arse into gear.

Well, the crash seems to have eaten posts, and discouraged future posts as well.

I know it's tough to just jump back in when we've lost some (possibly) relevant material, but players should at least confirm that they’re still playing.

Okay some thoughs on people with more than one vote on them.

Fircoal:

I find him to be the scummiest of the choices right now because he has shown a lack of concern for helping the town at all this game. Also because he feels all the justification that is needed for his vote on BM is:

I always kind of feel like BM is scum, but it is more the way he posts than anything else. I have felt him scum and seen him come up town before so for now I'm not sure what to think of him.

Twito:

I can never really get a read on Twito, though his sarcastic play style is definately disconcerting the first time you see it. All in all I feel him as more protown than not right now because his posting really has dropped in all of his games, and while it may just be a clever ruse I highly doubt it. Also he hasn't done anything very scummy.

Pooky:

I feel that Pooky is town. I feel that though his arguement is flawed he truely believes it, and thus he doggedly chased it. He could just be faking it, but at this point I believe that he is really trying to catch scum.

Bm, is really pushing for my lynch, part of that was deleted in the crash.

I was just suggesting we go after a lurker. There are many in this game, and it seems that it's a better alternative then not lynching.

The problem with going after a lurker is twofold: we are attacking someone who may not be able to defend themselves, and if we do lynch them we don't really get any information from the lynch. I don't like lurkers, but at this point we would do more good by looking at people's posts, rather than lack of posts.

I agree with ThAdmiral's sentiments, but I think his definition of lurker is different to mine. 'Lurker' implies that people are lurking but not contributing much. E.g. the people who check in with an "I'm here"... or you know they are reading the thread but not posting.

The other kind of non-contributing player I would prefer to refer to as 'flakes' or 'MIA' or something. They are the ones who have been called away by meatworld issues, forgotten about the game or are just not interested. They are less likely to be scum than the lurkers who are around but not saying much, IMO.

(I realise it's sometimes not possible to distinguish between the two types.)

In a nutshell my point is yes vote for lurkers, but players who are truly missing/uninterested should be replaced.

Normally I'd say no to a deadline, but with this many players and this few posts...and with the crash and all...

perhaps a deadline will be beneficial, if for no other reason than to generate activity (one would hope).

Just letting you know I know I'm in this game. I've just been drunk lately. For last 2 weeks in a row to be exact. I think I made it to mafiascum once and answered prods but I was drunk that time aswell so it didn't do too much good.
Anyways I'm planning on getting absolutely wasted the next 3 days and then I'll be back.
