You do realize there is no such thing as a protown role that would rather be strung up and lynched rather than "save" itself and thus the town another lynch right? I may have misinterpreted him, but the three days was to make sure he had the chance to post. I didn't see what giving Jack another ten hours or so would have accomplished. I think at this point it's fairly obvious he's got no interest in giving us his defence, he's still only at lynch -1, so he still has a chance to change his mind.
