And I just spent the past half hour looking up information on various glitch Pokemon across the series.

Seriously, it's surprising that they got such a huge series off of probably one of the worst programmed games ever. I guess that doesn't show much in standard play, but...

Well, I feel like if something this glitchy was to happen in a game that came out nowadays it would be bashed to the ground and given a 2/10. (Except for on IGN, of course)

Yeah the difference is WHEN they were released, if you ran across a glitch back then, it couldn't be a public name and shaming for a game, now if a glitch comes up, it's public knowledge.

Which might i add why their are even more Beta testers nowadays (Though it's also the reason a lot of games on PC go to beta first publicly, which i think is lazy and shit)

Costs a lot less money for the public to test then to hire thousands of QA. Can't test servers properly without it.

They could, you know, make games that don't rely so heavily on their multiplayer. That way they don't need to do server strain testing. It would make for some more enjoyable games too.

But muliplayer games are the games that use the open beta system the most which is why I mention it.

A game (single or multiplayer) is a lot easier to debug if you get solid repro cases, and a lot of competent testers help that. It's not lazy to want to get your game out there and try make it better.
