I've been having some trouble healing Ifrit EX. It seems like every other healer has a different system for where to stand during the fight to avoid blowing everyone up, but every other healer uses the exact same language to describe it.

What's a good way to get my Garuda EX kill
I know that fight well and would like to farm it for the ring but PF on my server fails horribly and linkshells won't take me unless I show them a Titan Ex drop

Make your own PF group and don't allow more than 1 melee DPS.

You just need to hope the tanks know how to deal with the spiny.

tonight i turned myself into a cat to get better stats, had to stand in a plume with surecast on to get a res off in ifrit hm, solo-healed garuda hm, and then proceeded to do a ct run where we wiped 3x on king behemoth

i have had a stressful evening

Garuda HM is pretty much all on the tank to position Garuda's slipstream safely and the DPS to not stand in front of the sisters' slipstreams. If that happens, solo healing it is easy.

If not, well...
