I have the hope that people might improve at being people
As for yasuo, he's hypermobile, one of the few champs that can completely nullify skills (without using an ult), gets through early game on a shield (which loads when he moves) and doubled crit. Gets to load an aoe knockup with his short cd q, either janna like as a tornado, or if he combos it with his dash it becomes an aoe knockup around his model.
Basically, he does it all if you can time well enough. You could have a shield in trades if you don't let it be baited out. You can wreck teamfights if you load and land your aoe knockup in time. You can block quite the amount of damage with your wall, if you can react well enough and read your opponents. Damage that might come in you could dodge with your dash (through opponents) which is on a near nonexistant cooldown. His ult locks down every opponent who is currently knocked up or back and deals damage, and has huge range, so that's your entrance into a teamfight.
On the other hand, playing against him, you can bait the shield with a small amount of damage after which the shield goes up for 2 sec after which it disappears. The cooldown of his wall is long, if it's wasted, any form of cc deadly. His dash and wall are his defense, otherwise the first 2 items are usually full offensive (shiv-IE). In teamfights, knockups and knockbacks get twice as important to worry about. It's not just that champ, but as well yasuo that's going to come with it. As said before, yasuo's has to get loaded (it's clear around his character model when it's up), and is a tad awkward.
Probably watch a couple of vids His abilities just show he's got a lot of things to do when playing, and a couple of choices in that as well. You probably learn more seeing someone good use him than from reading a couple of guides.Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.-

Incredible counter. Watch him against Gragas, Gragas can't land a single Q (and if the Yasuo player is fast enough, ult). Statikk Shiv makes him a godlike splitpusher, with 40% crit. Think Tryndamere, but with a better dash.In post 671, PJ. wrote:Hey, Yasuo is getting LCS play. Why?
He completely turns every notion of how ranged plays against melee in lane on its head. Also combos well with Vi. IMHO overrated at the moment, but still a hard counter to things like Gragas mid.
(also I'm not going to argue the fact that Godwater is an amazing support. He simply is. There's no counterpoints, it's like someone saying "SKT1 is overrated" or "Sion top is a good pro pick")
Might have to revise my opinion on Dig. They showed signs of actually having some sort of team strategy and real life. I haven't seen that... since season 2, frankly.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

if any upcoming teams want to know how not to market yourself just look at what xdg did/does.ShowRumpelstiltskin Grinder

Yasuo has a lot of very strong match ups in midland. Grag isn't the only one.In post 681, GreyICE wrote:

Sure. By the same token, he has a lot of pretty bad ones (he doesn't have the same burst as other melee midlane champions, so it seems like melee fighters/assassins like Akali, Riven, and Kha'zix can take him for a ride). Overall I think he's a great counterpick to certain things, but he's not "ban 100% of the time" level that he seems to have developed in EU (mostly because I think teams aren't sure they can handle him yet).In post 684, BROseidon wrote:Yasuo has a lot of very strong match ups in midland. Nintendude seems to have done a better combo by just using Yasuo+Shyvanna, because then you don't have to be playing Malphite (he's only really usable on support, and imho there are better supports)ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

The Yasuo bans are weird. They shouldn't be happening. I think you're right that it's a "we don't know how to deal with this" sort of thing. In post 685, GreyICE wrote:Sure. And I think Yasuo+Vi/Shyv/Lulu is more popular than +Malph because, yeah, nobody wants to have to play Malphite because lol Malphite.-
