Also Tierce, I shut the spawner off by filling the room with torches, removing them will turn the spawner back on. Doing this has greatly reduced the lag on the server though.

This is the Minecraft server currently running the most-updated version possible of the original game client and server. Cutting-edge, and just as Notch and Jeb intended. We update with the newest Release version available for both client and server from the Mojang developers blog, so please check the thread for notifications and announcements.

To connect to the Vanilla server, download the "New" Minecraft Launcher.

I hate my life.

I just lost by bucket of water, 2 diamond pickaxes, 2 iron pickaxes, 3 iron shovels, a stoen shovel, my diamond sword, a stack and a half of torches and all of my bread to lava. Plus the 20-30 coal and redstone i was mining.

Uhm...

I don't know what is wrong with your computer, but inside a room full of item frames, my FPS is 40-60. You either need a better computer or need to get out of that area, because my house works fine for me, I have removed the item frames I wasn't using yet, and killed a good amount of cows. And

I

use a laptop with 2 GB of RAM, so it's not like my machine is a great setup but it works just fine.

Are you really going to build in that bay? And putting a wall by ETL's place? There is a lot of space by spawn mountain, and you want to build

walls

by people's builds that are off the mountain? You should get ETL's approval before you even start building, not for her to see if you "gave her enough room". I know I'd be annoyed if there was a wall between me and Bag End, I like that area how it is.

My stable is handled by a mechanism that fools them into thinking they don't have space to escape. I haven't had trouble with this so far.

However, at least three horses have escaped today. This means someone was inside my stable and either rode them or pushed them out of their stalls. And then didn't ride them back. Why would you do something like that?

And who the hell cut down ALL the swamp trees by my place? They have specific shapes, I can't replant them, and you didn't even bother to leave a note or saplings. Trees OUTSIDE the wall! In my area!

In other words, yeah, I'm pissed. This is a lack of respect.

SAVE THE TREES

Hello friends. I am Kcdaspot, and I am apart of a movement inspired by Tierce_{Sorry if I misspelled it}.

I am representing a group set forth to preserve our land's natural beauty.

As you may have all noticed by now a handful of citizens have taken it upon themselves to protect up and comers by making a safe zone near spawn.

While we recognize and endorse actions taken to this end,

we cannot agree with the way this has been executed thus far.

Building a wall and destroying nature's beauty will only hamper the world and the newcomer.

They have no true initiative to explore. In fact scientific studies show that this new blood will have a chance to develop SPAWNTOWNITIS. A disease which causes affectees to become reclusive and scared. Not wanting to venture out to the "harsh and unforgiving wilderness."

This is not the only effect. Some people who have trees as apart of there land now have nothing but barren space. something they may not necessarily agree with. (see the above post and me included).

So friends. If you want to preserve the natural order. Please sign this petition and help make our world beautiful again!

tl;dr:

I'm with tierce, this is very invasive. and while a safe area is a good idea it needs to be executed with more finesse than it has. I mean look what is caused. I'm affected as well because my house is close to the wall and i enjoy the seclusion the trees give me.

I'm with you. Use common sense when chopping down trees. If they're too close to someone else's place, or they're roped off, ask before you chop. Plus, if she starts shooting trespassers, I may never be able to use her nether portal as a shortcut again, and that bites.

No. No they are not. They have taken it upon themselves to decide what the border between Kcda and me is, and chop down ALL the trees on my side of that wall.

Why the heck would you build a wall between two people who chose not to do so? Why do you get to decide where their border is?

Okay, folks, here's the deal.

If you want to make a spawntown, an organized one, you're more than welcome to. That's cool, and there's a lot of space in spawn mountain for lots.

But establishing borders for people on the builds they already have--that's a shitty thing to do. It doesn't look natural, especially when you choose to abuse their areas.

The wall between Kc's and my area and Bag End has been torn down. We don't want a wall, we want our swamp area with its trees and plants, and we can respect each other's space. Please have the grace to do the same thing and not decide what our borders should be.

Nothing around your area, just around ETL's.

There's now no wall on the spawn side of the bay, only in the desert. If you want the cobble back, I have most of it.

If you want to build a wall around people's builds, ask them

first

and let them decide where it sits. An actual spawntown would look much better at the top of the mountain, but the builds by sea level have grown organically and we want no part of that wall business.

That was my suggestion as well. Bag End is a nice welcome center, but I think that area has pretty much reached it's limit as far as sustainability.

Ohey guys!

The server is now running Minecraft 1.8 weekly snapshot 14w02c!

Everybody thank Tierce for being extra attentive about keeping me in line behind my time-tables!

Here's some handy advice from Mojang on how to use snapshots, if you haven't before...

...or (if ours is the only server you care about having the version for, or you just don't want a new profile or something) just go to "Profile Editor" in the launcher, double-click on your active profile (which might be the only one there) and select "snapshot 14w02c" from the dropdown menu under the "Version Selection" section.

I finally fixed my vanilla. Nice pyramid near my house but like... this was my space. And someone just put a line of cobble cutting off my desert. And that's not very nice.

So I'm moving. You can have my space when I'm done tearing it down.

Modded ServerOk, so the modded server is essentially corrupted and there is no way to fix it. No matter what, a restart is happening.

Now that some of the packs have had time to be tested and updated to recommended versions, I want to know which pack is preferred. Keep in mind there will be 0 additions. The pack will be loaded as is.
