Well that's a little disingenuous, because we've seen 3/5 of their members play a ton of games. Literal tons. We may have more footage of Snoopeh, Krepo, and Yellowpete on a team than we do of any NA team except maybe TSM or CLG. So lessee.In post 600, Nexus wrote:Explain how EG are really bad, when we've only seen them play one set of games, which they won?
First, CLG.EU were never mechanically skilled. They said it themselves. They were frequently outskilled by their opponents, so their strategy was wait for late game and then win teamfights with superior team coordination and decision making. That was the CLG.EU way. And who wasn't mechanically skilled? It's not Froggen, who is a mechanical genius (having started the entire "Mid Lee Sin" craze and being widely acknowledged as one of the best mechanical midlaners in the world). It's not Wickd, who is a great top laner. It's... err... oh right.
Seriously, take a look around. Who is the worst jungler in the LCS, mechanically? Unless he's stepped up his game, Snoopeh. Who is the worst support, mechanically? Uh, KiWiKid (although he didn't exactly stand out as particularly bad in Dignitas' losses, but that's a different issue). But Krepo never made challenger, even when he was trying, and I don't think you can put him up to LemonNation, XPecial, Godwater, or even Aphromoo. Who is the worst ADC? Zuna. But Yellowpete is only "decent."
So the mechanics aren't there, but they can win through superior decision making? No. This brings us to point number 2 - you can't stall into late game anymore. Period. No one successfully does it. Decision making is just tighter across the board. Sure, you can take some challenger team who has never played at a LAN before, stick them on stage, put them under infinite amounts of pressure, spotlights, etc. and watch them lose to Snoopeh, Krepo, and Yellowpete, because those guys don't panic under pressure. What happens when you stick those three in the LCS? Against people who don't panic under pressure? It's not gonna happen. You're not going to bait them into doing stupid stuff. Meteos will countergank Snoopeh, eat his jungle, duel him 1v1 and murder his face off. Rush hour is going to dumpster Yellowpete and Krepo.
Point three - the new guys. Okay, what can we say about them? Well, they're... um... they're not awful. Yay! Not awful! Yay!
I'm a huge fan of Krepo, Yellowpete, and Snoopeh on a personal level, but this team has 'failtrain' written all over it.
Dignitas - they're just fucking awful. They have no heart anymore. Scarra looks like he's a zombie, QTPie has admitted his least favorite position is AD Carry (he'd rather play any other position), KiWiKid moving to bot lane screams "oh fuck he's the worst top laner in NA and we have no idea what we're doing!" Crumbz and Scarra are both good players, but they're a team without hope or direction.ShowThat which is done out of love always takes place beyond good and evil

So I'm putting together a set of rules for a Fantasy LCS league. If anyone else is interested, I'll post them here in a bit once I'm finished. I'm only using stats that are already tracked and easy to find (basically, KDA, CS, and Win/Loss). If anyone has any suggestions / alterations, please hit me with them.
I'd love to actually set up an MS fantasy league if anyone else is interested.Current Avatar: Kronk. Duh.-

This is a first draft, ofc, so if anyone has better ideas, I am 100% open to them.
Fantasy LCS Scoring and Rules
Solo Laners and Marksmen:
Kill = 3 points
Assist = 2 point
50 CS = 1 point
Death = -2 points
Win = 15 points
Junglers:
Kill = 2 points
Assist = 2 points
50 CS = 1 point
Death = -2 points
Win = 15 points
Supports:
Kill = 1 point
Assists = 3 points
Death = -2 points
Win = 15 points
Drafting:
Draft order is randomized. Odd numbered rounds go from first to last, while even numbered rounds go from last to first.
Each team will consist of 8 total players. Each team must have at least two solo laners, one marksman, one support, and one jungler at all times. They may be chosen in any order. No player may be drafted more than once.
Eligible players are any player listed as a starter for any EU or NA LCS team.
The draft will take place after all Week 2 matches of the Split have been played. The season runs through the end of the Split.
The Season:
If, over the course of the season, an LCS team replaces a player, then the player that takes the slot of the removed player is placed in the appropriate Fantasy Team. (I.E., if Zuna leaves XDGG, Xmithie becomes their Marksman, and Guardsman Bob is brought as the new Jungler, then Player A (who had Zuna on their team) would now have Xmithie, and Player B (who had Xmithie) would now have Guardsman Bob.)
Trades can be made on days of the week that no matches are scheduled. The minimum number of each position (2 solo laners, 1 marksman, 1 jungler, 1 support) must be retained at all times.
Before each week’s matches, each player will submit 2 solo laners, 1 marksman, 1 jungler, and 1 support from their team of 8 to play for them. Points from each week will be tracked and totaled. At season’s end, the player with the highest total number of points will be declared the winner.Current Avatar: Kronk. Duh.-

That makes 10 of us, if we grab 8 players each there are no players left within the LCS.I'm a hoot

EU and NA being available means 80 players, Svenskt. 5 per team x 16 teams = 80.
That means that 10 people being in either uses every player, or we should do two separate ones and cap each at 6 players or so. (I feel that is the wiser course of action.)
Thoughts?

Also Maestro - We need more than 5 players per team to allow for things like teams who don't play during that particular week and trades that aren't forced into being ADC for ADC (which will rarely occur, methinks).
Also, as a fun note, the way I've written the rules does technically allow for two midlaners to be played at once since mid and top are both just classified as solo laners. Does anyone think that's problematic?
Also also, does anyone want to check and see if my numbers are at some level of balanced?Current Avatar: Kronk. Duh.-

Lol math, sry, 80 is obv correct.
Quadz, I would rather have MAX 5 or 6 players in this draft, this will ensure some excitement during the last draft rouds aswell and not just taking what is left, it will also be a quicker draft, less likelyhood of draft stalling because player x.
If we group everyone that wants to be in into 5 teams... that i like.
Kise, I want you, if you lust for me please PM and we can talk about this thing!-
