You'd be surprised, actually. Suppose you're a Vig. You know that there are 4-5 scums out of the other 8 players playing. That actually gives greater than a 50% chance of hitting scum. It

Well, if two people do claim the same thing we have a 50% shot at choosing the right one. But right now we have 33% at scum anyway, and the odds of scum killing one of eachother are quite high. While if we massclaim we could just reveal the prime choice roles without learning anything.

The odds of scums killing each other are not high.

It's 25% that one kills the other, and 1/16 that they both kill each other... and this is, of course, assuming no interference from a Roleblocker or Doctor.

Atticus, tell me who you're going to block tonight, so that I know not to vig them. I'm going to argue that if there's a Doctor, they *NOT* Protect tonight, so that we can count nightkills and see if Atticus' target is scum.

If BHNY is scum, there should be two nightkills if Atticus' target is pro-town. If BHNY is not scum, there should be three nightkills if Atticus' target is pro-town.

Well played, all. I think we actually got lucky that Atticus claimed first. I couldn't see a scumbag making a gambit that big (to claim the necessary existence of a Vigilante), and once that happened, we had a

How dare you kill me jack! Also, glork, you didn't strike me as the type to n1 kill. If I were still alive I would have been kinda confused. Um, also, N1 Doc no protect? That's non-standard. Again, it worked out for the better, but *shrug*. Anyway, town got a lot of luck with the nightkills, and didn't really need much precision to win after their luck. None the less, not a bad game by town.

I don't, usually. I even told MeMe that in my PM. And I explained the justification for it earlier... more than 50% chance of hitting a scumbag. I felt it was worth it.

I think you did as well as you could, Jack. The one thing I got is that you had this "lynch anyone but me" mentality (which I also picked up on from Klebian) which is what I'd expect a scumbag to have in that situation. You're effectively an SK, and in a fast-paced game (such as one in ScumChat), you see solo scumbags pushing harder than normal.
