This is exactly the point, BlueSin. Yes, we could expose our cop toprovethat Stimpy's lying, but this would be risking the loss of a pro-town role. (The doc becomes easier and easier to hit the more roles are revealed). And how do we know that Stimpy's evil? He messed up. He thought he could cause us to get a quick lynch, or maybe even get the real cop to reveal himself, by insinuating he had information about Caveman. But hecan'thave information about Caveman because there is no night 1 choice.
ButFOS: BlueSinfor sort of trying to get the real cop to come out.

Yeah, I'm hesitant about voting for Stimpy. It seemed pretty random to come out and claim at that point. Maybe we should get an explanation before we accidentally lynch a cop?
Plus, if someone else is the cop, they would want to come out and say "no, I'm the real cop" around now. In which case we know one of them is the real cop and one of them is the mafia.
I know that I'm not the cop, and God and Caveman would appear not to be, and Cam made a weird comment in his post on the last page, but he's an experienced player and would have said something by now if he were the cop.
So, once again, Bluesin and Nanook, if either of you are the cop, you should post so ASAP, so that we know if Stimpy is lying.
Until we hear from them again, don't place the deciding vote on stimpy. Plus, by doing so, you would basically doom yourself to a lynch tomorrow anyways.Holy crap, I forgot this site existed.

Double posting to add:FOS: mathcamfor complete and udder crap logic. That definately pointed at "Stimpy is my mafia buddy so I don't want the real cop to come out and screw up our plan."
However, I'm not voting for either of you yet. I just want to make sure you see what I'm saying. If someone claims your role, and you KNOW you're the only one with that role, so you know they 100% definately are lying, why wouldn't you come out? Even if the doc messed up, and the cop died somehow, it would still be worth it to lose a cop if it means catching a mafioso.Holy crap, I forgot this site existed.

Well, I can say that I am not the cop, and so there isn't a slip up of a quick lynch I willunvote:Stimpyfor now.
If stimpy is really the cop, then I think that that was a crummy way to come out. I still think that it was way too early for him to do so and now the odds of lynching the doc are greater.
Maybe it is just me, but again I always feel that way.-

hey, we need to wait for stimpy before lynch him. He still haven't explain why he vote caveman, exactly after role claim. weird...
I suggest the cop/doc come out to make a discussion among us. NOT "for sort of trying to get the real cop to come out."FOS: mathcam
I think I wouldn't say anything about my role at this time. As, if i'm the one, less chance of being killed tonight, if I'm not, help confuse the mafia about who is the one/pro-town.-

Korais, I think you missed the whole point. I think Stimpy is full of it because of aforementioned reasons. WePlus, if someone else is the cop, they would want to come out and say "no, I'm the real cop" around now. In which case we know one of them is the real cop and one of them is the mafia.don'twant the cop to come out and counter-claim if he doesn't have to, right? That'll be all the bigger chance of the mafia hitting the doc overnight.
FOS: Koraisfor asking the cop to come out when it's fairly clear that we've already found a mafia.

I think with this discussion we (including myself ) have really screwed up.
If Stimpy is not the cop, we have pared the possible cops down to 2 persons (barring any really tricky playing).
And it is still possible that one of the remaining is the other mafia, meaning the mafia know who the cop is even without he/she coming out.
However, our doctor doesn't know who is mafia and who is not, so he/she cannot be absolutely sure to protect the cop.
Of course this is all based on Stimpy not being the cop, and everyone that implied that they aren't the cop actually not being the cop.-

No, Cam, I think YOU missed the whole point. If both a mafia member and a cop die, it would be more than worth it. And plus, the cop revealing himself doesn't even mean he'll die. Most likely he'll get protected or not even targetted in the first place, making it more likely that a random townie will die, or *maybe* the doc. But even the doc would be worth losing if it meant catching one of the mafia.mathcam wrote:Korais, I think you missed the whole point.
You're telling me that I'm suspicious because I'm trying to get the cop to reveal himself. That's another point where you're wrong. I don't think Stimpy should have claimed in the first place. However, since he already did, we should at least try to confirm it. What would we lose if Stimpy was lying and the real cop came out? Stimpy claimed cop, which I think should be held as the truth until we find out more information. If we were to find out later today that someone else was the real cop, we would STILL have a cop.
What I'm getting from your post is that you're saying no, let's not confirm roleclaims, and lynch people on a guess that he's lying. Has stimpy done anything weird other than claim his role at a bad time? No, he hasn't.

Yes he did! He also impled he had information about Caveman, which he does not.Has stimpy done anything weird other than claim his role at a bad time? No, he hasn't.
I'm not claiming you thought Stimpy should have come out in the first place. I'm saying let's try to get him lynched without having the cop come out.

Oh, what the heck. It's not like I haven't been blatantly obvious about it. Certainly one of the mafia will have picked up on it, whether or not the doc did.
I am the cop. I was not "guessing" that Stimpy was scum, I "knew" it. I thought I made enough hints in the past few posts so that I wouldn't have to come out, but oh well, I suppose.
Worst-case scenario is that it turns out that I'm lying and you lynch me tomorrow.
