Can someone find a good reason for me to purchase a game for my 3DS?
Bonus points if you push me over the edge to get a Wii U; there are some games that I'd like to try but I'm very shy about that price tag.
uhhh because 3DS has a fuckload of good games
do i win
LIGHTNING ROUND: which ones do you recommend
Zelda: Link Between Worlds(incredibly well done Zelda game)
Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Luigi's Mansion 2
Pokemon X and/or Y
Mario & Luigi Dream Team
Really, just anything in this video will probably be a good choice.
yep there's the list
Also I'd check out some of the indie eshop games, like Pushmo. That game is hours of brainbending fun
Pushmo is in the video actually
jdodge1019: hasjghsalghsakljghs is from vermont
jdodge1019: vermont is made of liberal freaks and cows
jdodge1019: he's not a liberal
jdodge1019: thus he is a cow
Speaking of 3DSes, Target is selling 3DSXLs for $150 (including the Mario&Luigi + Zelda bundle ones) until Saturday (maybe Sunday). I'm probably picking one up tomorrow to hopefully save a ton of money and hoping to god I don't need any emergency money between now and my tax return. I was going to get a 2DS or 2DS+X/Y bundle, but the latter was $150 any way, and I don't mind spending the extra few bucks from the 2DS for a larger screen.
So yay.
If you don't know how to lie, then how do you know when you're being lied to?
No snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible.
It seems Xbox is not doing as well, always seems to be in stock. Of course, they could just have more product.
But it seems whatever the case, those who tried to make a profit on them were no longer able to after a couple of weeks. Microsoft and Sony both seemed ready this time around with plenty of product ready to go.

Their production is about the same. Microsoft is sending more units to the US than Sony is though, but worldwide they're about equal.
I was just hoping there'd be a mistake like last console launches and I could get at least some profit from buying and reselling the consoles. I sold my ps4 from launch for $100 profit, but the 2 xbox ones from black friday aren't selling for 580 ($45 profit) and it looks like I'll have to return them.
I was planning on selling them on eBay, but I forgot that eBay has a 10% final price fee, meaning I'd have to sell them for at least 600 to break even.

According to VGchartz it's about 2.4M vs 1.8M consoles in Sonys favor worldwide.
In the USA PS4 is at 1.44M and XB1 is at 1.23M.
Neither have launched in Japan yet, not like Microsoft will do well there anyhow, as they only sold 1.54M 360's there vs 9.66M for PS3

RC does not have my stash of animal porn, I promise you.
Debating on getting X-COM: Enemy Unknown while it's on sale but it's not exactly a "steal" right now and I'm not sure if it's worth it? I don't know if I'd like it. Maybe I'll torrent it to try it and buy it if it's my thing.
It also looks like 80% of xbox one buyers are coming from xbox 360s, while 60% of PS4 are coming from PS3 owners. Looks like the $100 price difference is a huge obstacle for Microsoft. I believe within the next year there will be a xbox one bundle without kinect.

The original game is still bette rin my opinion. Yes, you have to deal with the really weird and, at times, truly fucked up ui, but the graphics hold up in a sorta 16-bit indi sorta way. They game is still great, the AI is still great, I would try the original before the remake.
Come to think of it, I've never been too much of a fan of remakes. I can't think of one remake that I have played that I liked better than the original.
Bought 3D mark cuz it was cheap, ran the "High end PC" test, had fraps running at same time... I think its time to buy another GPU or something, I dont think I ever got above 30FPS
Though maybe all my stuff open might be why as well? Going to reboot and see if I can beat 6071

I think the R&D they have spent on the Kinect is going to keep them from removing it from the system for some time. If the money that would be sunk on it wasn't an issue, it would have been removed from the system as a bundle already.

yeah, but would they make more money by selling hte console separate? money is money don't you know. If what bat is saying is true then they should lower the price of the console or unbundle it in order to best deal with the, apparently, elastic demand.
Had to move fucking countries to do it but I finally got onto the server to play Walking Dead.
Spoiler:
Helped Christa, killed the dog, forgave Nick, gave water to the dying arsehole, went with Nick.
Agree with Claus a little bit in that I was thinking slightly more 'what would Clem do?' rather than 'what am I going to do?' but I may not mind that very much until I perhaps end up replaying it at some point. More problematic was that I felt the major decisions (with the exception of Nick or Pete) were not particularly difficult ones. The accepting of Nick's apology didn't feel like much of a big deal at all (it seems weird that people would be a dick to him about that, given how the dialogue prompts looked and what Clem has learned about the harsh nature of the world).
If I hadn't seen pre-publicity from Telltale saying that Kenny's fate would be "explored", I wouldn't be considering him for the 'I thought you were dead' at all, but given that they've teased that, I think I'm leaning red herring on it. Lilly seems the most interesting guess (Clem's dialogue with the dying bandit near the end didn't imply that she'd given up on Christa as dead) and I'd really like to see her story continue so I'm hoping it's her.
Going to be interesting to see where the 400 Days characters feed in. I didn't notice any connections at all apart from what I thought was the diner at the start (but I can't remember a huge amount about 400 Days now, certainly not all the characters and who went with the woman at the end and who didn't).
