I defend myself by attacking those scummy elements who are attacking me. That's what I do. You might suggest it's OMGUS, but you might notice that I'm quite happy to accept that town are also going to attack me, and I try to recognise which people on my wagon seem sincere. That's how I operate. You do not seem sincere. Desperado is starting to. BRO feels sincere. etc. This is how I form my early town and scum reads. Yes it's flawed, but no more flawed than any other d1 strategy.

@DOMO: Doesn't stop me from thinking you're scum. PEDIT- I really do think you're scum. So, right now, I want you to prove otherwise. I don't see the town motivation in hopping off the SSK wagon and onto me as a counterwagon (since I know I'm town, deflation of one wagon and my wagon being a counter-wagon feels scum motivated). I don't understand why you'd stop pushing Desp as hard as you were, especially with the awkward swap of Desperado voting me then you, then you just hop off of him. I want to know your motivation with these things. As it stands, I think you're scum, because it's easy to see why scum would make all these moves.

I don't -want- him to do anything. I expect that a confident townie wouldn't be unnerved/agitated by my vote/noise, and that if they were, they'd defend themselves rather than attacking me. PEDIT- Since he's explained that it's a playstyle rather than an alignment thing, I'm more inclined to believe that. Even still, it's something that pings to me.
I'm town, and it's been true since the role PM came to me and it said that I was town. Unfortunately, I'm not an Innocent Child, so I can't really mod-confirm it in thread without dying.
Can you even function or operate if you were forced to accept that I am town?
You can't seem to fathom it.

This makes sense if you're town, because I don't see why ffery wouldn't defend you unless she thought it'd backfire somehow. Town really wouldn't worry about that sort of thing. Appearances are what scum worries about.
If you and ffery are scum, it makes sense as well, but I don't think you'd out an ally like that.

You're not getting railed. You're getting Varsooned, but that's a far cry from getting railed. If anyone actually starts making noise like they're taking Varsoon seriously about you, I'll take note.

I don't understand how you think that me not being sure about my reads and wagon hopping is somehow a scum tell? You might have to explain why that's a logical move for scum. Why would scum suddenly attack someone who joined the wagon he was previously pushing for? How are you getting a scum tell from that? How can that not be town?

@DOMO:

The BBQ and SSK wagons were both not gaining any steam. I entered the game, looking like an easy target, and was immediately jumped on while the SSK wagon withered.
Then... people jumped onto you as my wagon lost steam.
Actually, let me check something...
SSK was KoreanBBQ, Sakura Hana, Cephrir, DOMO, pieguyn
I was pieguyn, Desperado, DOMO, Cephrir, KoreanBBQ, Sakura
DOMO is BROseidon, Desperado, Sakura Hana, Stuffed Crust, Generic, pieguyn

This makes me really suspicious of Pieguyn, Cephrir, DOMO, and Desperado.
Operating under the idea that DOMO and Cephrir are town, though,
Desperado and Pieguy's scum motivation still makes sense.

VOTE: Desperado

I'd also be willing to see a Pieguy or Sakura Hana wagon happen.
I'm getting mixed feelings about DOMO. On one hand, I can see the scum motivation for questionable moves. On the other, DOMO feels really genuine in response.

I've also noticed that Pieguyn, Sakura, and Desperado feel like they've been taking a backseat all game.
So, yeah.
