Feirei's conspicuously absent from the forums, so I'm actually gonna go ahead and PM swyellowtail and try to start

game instead. Feirei, PM me whenever you're back and I'll get yours going as soon as possible, perhaps after swyellowtail's if he replies first, but we'll see.

Meanwhile, Feirei has logged on and picked for his game, whaddaya know! I'd rather stick to the queue order now that I know he's around. My apology for this lackadaisical queue management will be to guarantee swyellowtail the next game - any jumping players... whenever that happens... would jump to second-in-line. And of course, saying sorry.

But this isn't just luck.

This... is Optimize!

*Intro Theme, camera spins around with a quick glance at 20 virtual sets of spheres. It zooms in one set which spontaneously opens to show the innards of the spheres. A golden sphere flies in, spins around while it's opening, and shows a red $0 sign inside. It shuts, spins and opens again, and this time shows an ultraviolet $500,000 (where 0,01 euro and 1 000 000 euros are shown). The sphere closes and opens again, now showing all sorts of game components flying around on screen, with amounts of money on different colored backgrounds flying into the monitor and all the spheres are flying about. An ultraviolet sphere then flies in where it should be in the logo as its button turns red and the other letters fly in as the theme concludes.*

*main theme, out I come from under the monitor, which now lifts up "magically" so that I can come through the walkway onto the stage*

*points up at this moving part*

*audience doesn't care, but keeps cheering anyway, players do too, I come on out and the theme dies down*

So, welcome to Optimize! We've got more fun for you in store as another contender comes on here to take on this epic battle against the spheres. His act to follow - what a surprise - a $4,000 win, this time at the hands of jmj3000. He tried desperately to get blue up into the stratosphere, or any color for that matter, but nothing seemed to work for him. Blue ended up with a measly $6,000 figure on it and didn't end up paying out in the end, violet collapsed early, and red was able to go to $50K, but jmj didn't give it the best shot at getting there!

*mutters again*

*some laughter*

Rightyo, next contender coming up the lift, you all know him for being our resident sadist, so everyone had better watch out. It's

*everyone cheers, lights swirl around as Feirei comes up the lift, looking around with a rather sinister look on his face as he surveys the surrounding players and audience that are cheering him on. He eventually makes it to the top...*

*...and suddenly the lift platform, actually a trapdoor, opens up and down Feirei goes, everyone laughs*

Now that we've had our fun... umm...

*this time, the lift platform legitimately takes Feirei all the way up to the top as everyone cheers and hollers one more time, with the lights swirling around as ever before. Eventually, he completes his ascent, the lift platform safely clicks into place, and the lights stop swirling*

Sorry, no more contender picks after that near-miss last game.

You know that backstage you picked our best target of 0 to start your game off! Pick a player, and they'll open one of those colorful spheres with the number 0-4 inside. If it's higher than that 0, you gain money on the correspondingly-colored money ladder. You're racking up four different sums of cash, but only the golden sphere you randomly pick at the end determines which color sector's cash you get. You can see how many golden spheres of each color remain up there as well - and that the odds get worse as the cash gets better. For now, anyway...

Blame me for that. I picked 4/0, and on the streak I was, there was a very good chance of me possibly getting the line jump, so no more contender picks, but hopefully not for good.

jmj suggested offering that X sphere that we gave out when JDGA was hosting Game X of our old series, but the 119:1 chance the contender doesn't get it just makes it not worthwhile. Maybe there's another way I can put it in though. Hmm...

Well, you could make it so that the contender doesn't go for the queue jump if they get 4/0, but this works too. Just had me confused, is all.
