I was going to ask how it got debunked, unless you meant your own defense of it, (which hardly counts as a debunking), but then I found this post from my archnemesis Mert.Mert wrote:
For a change, I agree with you SkruffsSkruffs wrote:IT's not much of a discussion starter, anymore, Jack, unless you say why with it.
Since we're under deadline, there's less time to ponder over reactions to things like Jack's voting with no reasoning. I think it was fine in the early stages of the game (itdidget a few people asking questions, after all) but I think we're a little short of concrete evidence at the moment.
Man, I hate deadlines
Which is why everyone threw votes at you again, this time, Jack. Strangely enough I forgot all about the pressure wagon on HD, me and Mert's argument, etc. Since I jsut got knocked out of three games I should be able to focus a bit more on this one. Yay.-

Ha!
Yamahoko's Voting/Fossing History:
vote : jack (for vote hopping)
vote : skruffs
Vote : cubsfan
fos : andrews
vote : hemisphere
vote : cubsfan
-----------
Cubansmoker's voting/fossing history:
vote : ubertimmy (for not posting)
fos skruffs
vote : cubsfan
vote : hemisphere
vote : jack
vote : cubsfan
Cubansmoker has never refferred(sp?) to Yamahoko before, and Yamahoko's only reference to CUbansmoker was directing him to wikipedia.org so he could research some fake roles.
Okay maybe not for the last part, but still... I think they're similar mentality of following each other's leads without actually talking to each other is worth considering.-

I'm dropping cubansmoker because I think it's due to a difference in our playstyles, not because it's scummy. I'll probably meta-game a little, care to reference any games?
Skruffs: I don't like the case you presented in your latest post for cubsfan. It ties cubsfan and yamahako a little too early in the game I think (day 1), and it also presumes that the 2 of them are scum.Blank.-

I'm not pro-cubansmoker, but we might be on the same wave length. I hadn't noticed the correlation. But I do like his dislike for Cubsfan, which is a plus in my book.Skruffs wrote:you meant cubansmoker, right?
because I was referring to cubansmoker.
I'm not assuming anything - just bringing to light something worth considering. THey have had almost identical tactics this game, and don't seem to question each other at all. It's worth noting.I'm suspicious - in every sense of the word.-

I think he's scummy in this game, I've never played a game with him before - so I don't have any meta reasons for my vote - just what I've already stated.Skruffs wrote:Yeah... cubs gets lynched a lot in games because it's 'cool' not to like him outside of the mafia games. While that's unavoidable to a degree, when you're blatantly using that as a reason to lynch someone, you're not really helping the town. Just a little FYI.I'm suspicious - in every sense of the word.-

and that's what this little wagon really comes down to...Yamahako wrote:

Abott votes for me sensing I know too much about Jack
Yamakho votes for me uttering some nonsense
Jack OMGUS me
Abott unvotes me
Cuban "found a wagon he can get into"
I think Skruff's hypothesis is certainly an interesting one about Yamakho and Cuban. There is a chance that following the Abott vote, Yamakho and Cuban (who may silently be working as a tandem) saw an opportunity to get a lynch on an unpopular player and get a little wagon started. The meta-games tactics of getting votes on someone most people on the board have a deep, everlasting, hatred of could push people to agreeing to this. For scum, this would be an ideal tactic of play. This would give them an opportunity for an easy lynch and survive another day. Definitely a possible scenario and one to be examined later.
I still like the Jack vote though and hope more people would agree to that. The style of play he has shown in this game does not seem consistent with someone that is pro-town and I get bad vibes from him.Unban me please
At the very least, at least respond to my unanswered PMs mith.-

I had no knowledge of this little meta-game problem with cubsfan. I noticed his first few posts were only questions, which is scummy to me as it allows him to talk without revealing anything anout himself.
Skruffs, your 'analysis' is goofy. The human brain has this funny way of noticing patterns everywhere. You're just looking at a random network of relationships and picking out a shape you like. You can find anything you like if you look hard enough. A much larger sample of posting & voting behaviours is required before you can infer a relationship.
I'm into studying who people vote for, but without knowing some constants (like dead people alignments) you have no basis to work with. It's more likely we're just two good townies who can recognize two other good townies.
I'll lynch cubsfan, Jack or ubertimmy today.-

Well, defending myself puts suspicion on those who accuse me for poor reasons.Skruffs wrote:Jack - you want to comment on something *other* than votes you are pulling onto yourself?
@cubsfan: Yes they do. Case in point: http://mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4494&start=0
