Me calling Patrik pat is cause for alarm? The point of my comment was that at that point Glork was the last one that should be commenting on how Pat (O.o) chooses how to place his vote.Ether wrote:
(Day 2, Post 595, Nightfall (on Glork) wrote:-Says that he doesn’t like pats comment that a short time until deadline means that we need to decide which vote leader to lynch.
This coming after he just started a new bandwagon by rolling a pair of dice? Pat’s reasoning to me seemed much more based on reason. On the surface at least.o.OI just realized that he calls Patrick "Pat" at some points, which I hadn't picked up on the first time I tried Find. Nightfall, you never really elaborate on this sentence and I'm not sure what you're insinuating with it.)

There was also a post somewhere (I think) by Patrik that said that he was just a little disappointed that I made my pbpa alphabetically.
I just felt I should point out that that wasn't actually my plan. I decided I would do it in the order that people were listed in post 1, as to avoid looking like I had an ulterior motive in choosing an order.
It just so happened that we were listed alphabetically in that post.Once Nightfall comes, everyone's dead...-

Hmm. I'll probably hammer Thesp before I go to sleep. Parity, yeah, but I figure tonight's kill will say less than normal (unless Adele and Mgm are scum, but still). If we're gonna no-lynch, I'd rather do it later. Thesp's not my first choice, but we know that.
Post 762, Patrick wrote:Thesp has been suspicious to, but I don't see him as scum with Adele or mgm, and the hop onto his wagon made me feel uneasy. I don't plan on switching my vote to Thesp at this point.
The former quote was the last time you brought up your feelings on Thesp; could you elaborate?Post 816, Patrick wrote:I don't feel like lynching Thesp.
Patrick wrote:I remember Adele and Glork commenting on your defence on him but not mine.
Adele had a reason that you weren't guilty of. (Checking back, I have no idea about Glork; for him I just assumed. Glork?)Day 2, post 477, Adele wrote:In pretty much every defense of AndrewS she seemed to slip in a backhanded dig at AndrewS, as if she were ready to turn on him if and when it were useful to her. As it is, she gets to be the stalwart defender of the innocent townie, but she also left the door open to hammer him, point out her ongoing low-level mistrust and say that she was going with the town's wishes. Or something. Anyway, it certainly is odd.
Nightfall did not. Those reasons are complete opposites, and frankly, Adele's was better.Day 1, voting post, Nightfall wrote:she seems a little too attached to Andrew with an aparant view that he cant really do wrong.
(Like I said, MBL, I thought the notes were the "big post" he had hyped up and wasn't pleased.)Day 1, Ether wrote:unvote; vote: NightfallI really don't see any point whatsoever to his new posting style, and I probably still wouldn't if I was at the height of my mental health. A few paragraphs of personal opinion, please; I trust the filter for the rest.
I feel that (and what I quoted of him) stood alone fine.Day 2, Ether wrote:Not only were Nightfall's attacks on me stretchy, they were stretchyfrom other people. I don't see much in his PBPs, particularly the one on me. (Um, was I the only person expecting the EtherPBP to be his focus? Hewasvoting me yesterday; I was disappointed there. The response to Glork was the only part I felt was relevant against me. Incidentally, I believe that Nightfall displayed a double-standard between my defense of Andrew and Patrick's. (Granted, IH's "few posts above" didn't mention Patrick, either.) Hmm, I'll have to look into that. Oh, and Nightfall might want to add a belated comment, too. Anyway, this paragraph is getting long. Let's just kill him.vote: Nightfall)
I don't find the notes themselves especially practical--by the time he posted his opinions on the little actions of Adele through Glork, the notes were outdated. Between filters and memory, I don't think the notes took too much effort. The comments--they didn't go anywhere. He made criticisms, but they were buried and he didn't actually say, "I find this person more likely to be scum than these people." Many of the comments are nigh-irrelevant nitpickings, especiallythe ones on me. Yet he voted me. After the deadline, before Adele's claim.
Nightfall, "on the surface at least" is the part that bothers me. Please elaborate.
(I can answer #1. We have three power roles--now two. If Adele is a cop, there's one role left. Masons are a group.)

I was mostly going on the "defend the townie to make yourself look good" bit. Take the middle road and acknowledge that the play wasn't a smart idea, but stick to your opinion that it defintiely wasn'tscummy. It just felt wrong to me. I recall having done the same thing in the distant past as scum, and I've definitely seen it elsewhere. It's one of those intangible "The way this sounds is scummy, but I don't know why" things. And yes, I know people hate hearing that because it means that I can't properly substantiate my suspicion, but that's how I feel.-

Mgm and Adele look more innocent now, so Thesp looks slightly worse than before. My reasons are similar to Glorks; I found the mgm/Adele hops onto the Thesp wagon weird and thought maybe oppotunistic scum. You've already summed up the rest of my feelings on Thesp fairly well. He does have this weird habit of attacking people strongly over things which seem almost irrelevant, with the false dilemna links and the prof plum thing being good examples IMO. There are other ppl I'd rather lynch than Thesp, but it doesn't seem likely that anything like that will happen.Ether wrote:The former quote was the last time you brought up your feelings on Thesp; could you elaborate?
True, this did raise an eyebrow, and I seem to remember questioning it at the time.Ether wrote:Nightfall did not. Those reasons are complete opposites, and frankly, Adele's was better.
I don't agree with everything Nightfall has said, not by a long shot, but I simply don't get a malicious vibe from him. I still maintain that there was no double standard.Primpod 11:13 pm

What I ment there was that when you look at Pat and Glorks votes in question, Pat's vote seems to be based more on logic and reason. He looked at who the vote leaders were and thought that it would be best to focus on them before a soon to come deadline arrived. Glork on the other hand, rolled a pair of dice. Now earlier today Glork shared how alot of his actions in day one may have seemed random and a little un-thought out but he really did have reasons for his actions. Glork made that post before my pbpa. I wanted to point out that just looking at the way they voted on day one, Pat seemed to have the more logical stance. Eventhough Glork could have really had his reasons, they were not displayed at the time of his vote.
I hope that makes more sense now.Once Nightfall comes, everyone's dead...-

Well I think that it is just marvelous that everyone is getting along so well, that you have decided not to chuck anyone out of the game. I'm so glad that this game is being played in such a spirit.
OK, then, time to close your eyes and start drumming on the table.
It is now Night 2: please send me your choices!-

I need to re-read the entire game very carefully before I come to any decisions. The plurality of my MafiaScum time (by a wide margin) has been consumed by Space Monkey Mafia. Now that SMM has finished, I plan on re-examining several of my other games. This one is on that list.ChannelDelibird wrote:Glork: But no vote?-

No vote from Fritz to start the day is uncharacteristic--looks like he's waiting to see where things move. Also not impressive that his vote was on Adele at the end of yesterday. Worse, Patrick's was on MGM, and Patrick checked in to discuss but chose not to move his vote. His attempt to coast past that error on his part without an apology makes him AND Thesp look a little suspect, and makes Zindy look a little less suspicious. I would expect the difficulty finishing off Thesp if there were two scum laying off his wagon end of day yesterday.
Thesp, what do you think of Fritz, Ether and Patrick, Glork, CES and their end-of-day behavior yesterday? If you are town, you must have a unique perspective on behavior surrounding your wagon yesterday.
Fritz, you hammer, it's your thing. Why the hesitation to hammer Thesp?dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

Welcome back. Care to elaborate a response to my last post directed at you? I'd particularly like a response to my accusation against you of your hypocrisy in ignoring CES while pressing me, and of your flippant, irresponsible use of WIFOM.ChannelDelibird wrote:Vote: Thesp Same reasons I had yesterday.
I find it intriguing. I don't think Fritzler is scum (in particular, in your initial paragraph for both of us to be scum would require unusual interaction in thread). I also think "difficulty finishing me off" yesterday may be attribued to townies having genuine concerns about not lynching me, timing, or a combination thereof. Also note while you argue there might be "difficulty finishing off Thesp if there were two scum laying off his wagon end of day yesterday", inversely it would have been easier for scum to have finished me offMrBuddyLee wrote:No vote from Fritz to start the day is uncharacteristic--looks like he's waiting to see where things move. Thesp, what do you think of Fritz, Ether and Patrick, Glork, CES and their end-of-day behavior yesterday? If you are town, you must have a unique perspective on behavior surrounding your wagon yesterday.if they weren't already on it. (I doubt scum would have gotten much serious attention yesterday if they'd placed the final vote on me, using the need firsomelynch as an excuse.) Notably, that notches down a bit of suspicion of Ether for not voting me.
I'm finding CES scummier and scummier. I don't know if that's reactive or intuitive. I can easily conceive of him being scum with ChannelDelibird.
I'm unsure on Glork. I look forward to his re-read."When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -Reiner Knizia
