FTB Server Announcement:
Using the Alkahest in any type of automated fashion (i.e. in an Advanced Crafting Table, etc.) causes server errors that crash the server and require MCEdit to be used to remove the automating block. Due to this, using the Alkahest in an automated fashion is now against the rules for obvious reasons. You can still use it manually to your heart's content.

Yes Klaz, this came about as a direct result of exactly what you're thinking of.
We'll just have to deal with millions of Bones...or we can turn them into Singularities...up to you.

Wait, is this the Tome of Alkahest too, or just the Alkahest itself?

Tbqh, i doubt the tome will have the same issue. The mechanics for both is completely different. For the alkahest, it is the output of its own recipe, with bonus stuff appearing based on how much it is crafted with, while for the tome, it is a normal crafting indrigent recipe.
Tome multiplies things using Redstone/Lapis/Lapis Blocks
Orb divides things into Redstone/Lapis/Lapis Blocks based on what they're usually multiplied with and at what ratio
the error with the Orb, Rob, is all the value calculations you saw yourself, spamming the server console
when the Tome is a simple crafting recipe, I agree with Klaz - the issue shouldn't exist at all
