Yes, yes, you hate me, I know. My question stands. We've had a dealdine on us before, it's been floated by the mod as possible again, and if we get one, we'd still have to get to a standard majority or be left with a no-lynch, so: is there someone that we can unite against, or are the various factions in possession of too oppositional view?Glork wrote:Unvote, Vote: Adele-

As I said, while the activity level has been good, it seems to me that the various positions are so entrenched that this day is never going to end unless I do something to fire up the Town. I think that without a deadline this game will just go round in circles. So...
Deadline:Wednesday 14th March, 9.30am GMT
I'll happily extend this if there is a real feeling that a little more time might allow the group to find a majority lynch. But I don't think it would be a good idea to rescind it.-

I feel a lot like I'm Nadering here, but I still fee like ChannelDelibird deserves more attention here, particularly since he's reverted to not posting again.

why not? do you give up when given a challenege?Ether wrote:CES and Fritzler, I haven't even tried to read. Glork is probably town. MBL is probably probably town. Zindaras is probably probably probably town. (More "probablies" dilute it.) None of these people are particularly interesting to me (beyond the whole awesomeness-of-Zindie-and-Glork factor) or particularly in need of my interest, and my conscience has bothered me on worse matters than this paragraph.

Ether, I think I can pinpoint your feelings on exactly one player by reading your post history. You've managed to couch just about everything in a rich pudding of ambiguity which, while delicious, doesn't help ascertain the alignment of the chef.
Thesp appears to be reading the game carefully and picking up on nuances, but I still don't like the way he presents his suspects primarily as mantra. Patrick's deliberated ambiguity caught my eye as well. Patrick, you asked me about MGM, who's the current alternative to a Thespwagon. I think MGM's shown a healthy interest in a fair number of players, unlike Ether and Thesp, but has also been significantly defensive. OMGUSsy as well, though I've never seen that as a scum trait. I wouldn't add a vote to lynch MGM at this point.
CDB, you haven't answered my question.
CES and Thesp, you never REALLY answered my question, so I'll restate: how do you see Thesp D1 and CES D2 behavior differing?
Adele, got a read on Fritz?

Fritz, MBL, Glork, probably CES, and probably Patrick are pro-town. Nightfall is slightly pro-town.
Thesp is currently on my "probably pro-town" list mainly due to my suspicions of Adele and MGM.
Zindie is mostly neutral/slightlygood. Ether is neutral/slightlybad. CDB is neutral/slightlybad.
Adele and MGM are scum.
GG, all.-

I asked because you were attacking him heavily day 1, and today you've not expressed much suspicion of him at all, preferring to go after other people.MBL wrote:Patrick, you asked me about MGM, who's the current alternative to a Thespwagon. I don't know what you think I'm being unclear about. I have my suspicions of mgm and Adele, you can see I'm voting mgm. Thesp has been suspicious to, but I don't see him as scum with Adele or mgm, and the hop onto his wagon made me feel uneasy. I don't plan on switching my vote to Thesp at this point.
Ether seems to be in a minority in attacking Nightfall, and I'm still waiting to see how she justifies linking me to Nightfall.
I don't think I'm being deliberately ambiguous at all, certainly no more than anyone else.Primpod 11:13 pm

My thoughts on any posts I found important since my last (688):
Mgm's post 691: The 'logic' here is dodgy, much as I agree with Thespvotes.
Adele's post 698: (concering cliques) While I see where you're coming from, I'm not sure how much we can read into it.Surelyscum wouldn't be so uniform with their votes deliberately, and it's not as if the amount of cliquey people fit the amount of scum, making it not a scumtell as far as I can see.
Ether's post 700: You don't find false-dilemma attacks scummy? O.o
MBL's post 706: In answer to your question, I'm pretty happy with Adele really. I empathise with her early (current?) feeling of difficulty in finding scum, I agreed with her on the AndrewS case but I also see the merit in her Day 2 comments about Ether's position on that. I share her wariness of Glork, although I'd prefer to concentrate on Thesp at the moment. Mgm I don't feel strongly one way or the other on. At times he doesn't seem to have been paying full attention (which he admits at a point), and he voted Thesp 'because his Glork vote wasn't going anywhere', which isn't something I like (I'm firmly of the belief that your vote should be on who you think is the most likely scum), but the first of those is excusable and the second could be just a difference of opinion.
Thesp's post 710:
I'm saying that I would have been righteously indignant (easily confused with defensive) at baseless accusations such as the ones you were making. I feel they were more likely scum reaction-baiting because you stuck with them so vigourously. Town should not be calling for someone to die so repeatedly and vehemently on such a lack of basis.Thesp wrote:Why would the only possible reaction be defensive, as you seem to imply here? What was it about my "accusations" that made them appear to be scum trying to incite reactions rather than town trying to get reactions?
"I wouldn't do that as scum" = WIFOM.Thesp wrote:Why are scum more likely to be adamant and vocal? My experience has been the opposite, particularly because scum know the particular wagon-victim is town, want to push it along, but don't want to be associated too strongly with it. Your behavior D1 is consistent with this.
Fritzler only made 2 more posts than me on Day 1, and at least half of those were noncontent.Thesp wrote:Who else was silent on Day 1? Please jumpstart my potentially-faulty memory and help us identify others who were doing as such, so we can question them as well. Otherwise, I would have presume this statement is taking an unsubstantiated cheap shot at me.
Thesp's post 731: Keeps pushing the obviously wrong Professor Plum bloody knife example on Patrick.#greenshirtthursdays-

Glork and MBL are town. Ether and Adele give me town vibes. Thesp is only giving off minor vibes.
I'm going to take a look at Mgm now.ShowFinished: 159 (120 Town, 33 Mafia, 5 Other, 1 Cult, 4 Cultivated)

As I said in my voting post, Thesp did something to trigger my scumdar, so while I would really like to see Glork lynched, Thesp would be a healthy alternative. I agree that your vote should be on who you find scummiest, but I also believe that if a lynch on that person isn't happening you should be willing to lynch your second or third suspect.ChannelDelibird wrote:At times he doesn't seem to have been paying full attention (which he admits at a point), and he voted Thesp 'because his Glork vote wasn't going anywhere', which isn't something I like (I'm firmly of the belief that your vote should be on who you think is the most likely scum), but the first of those is excusable and the second could be just a difference of opinion.
Question:Was there ever any evidence/analysis against Adele that didn't involve a link with me? If there isn't, than a case against her is flimsy at best and shouldn't be pursued until I'm dead to prove the link is non-existent.Show"Logic is a systematic method to come to the wrong conclusion."

I said that the flippant-townie mood is fakeable. When someone's said as little as Fritz has, you gotta go on your vibe, and the vibe seems townie-ish to me; though that is just my feeling.MrBuddyLee wrote:Adele, what gives you the idea that he's flippant townie instead of flippant scum? Unsubstantiated, it looks like a lazy "read" by lazy scum.
Was there something specific that tweaked you, or was it just "lazy read = lazy scum"?-
