i was thinking today. I'd totally watch a Black Ops tournament, if they made you pick one class. and the class makeup was done in a Dota style Ban-Pick round. I'd watch the heck out of a 1v1 tourny like that.

AA9, I'm going to give you a run down on how to play Death Prophet, my favorite hero.
ALWAYS MAX CRYPT SWARM FIRST. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS. It's literally one of the highest dps spells in the game with Witchcraft's cd reduction. You one-shot ranged creeps with it until the 14th minute or so. Failure to max that skill is failure to play the hero.
Skill Witchcraft secondary. Getting one point in Silence early is acceptable if you're going to be going for early teamfights/pushing or if you're lane opponent is spell heavy(Skywrath, Puck, Pudge).
Bloodstone rush usually sucks. You got a ~30 minutes mek last night after bloodstone. If you're a mek hero, you usually want to pick it up first.
My item builds are usually either
Phase->Drum->Euls->luxuries(for mobility+chasing, makes you an unkillable god)
Arcanes->Mekanism->Pipe->Luxuries(for teamfighting+supporting)
Other builds are viable in niche scenarios, but most games fall into one of those pools.
the reason i high witchcraft first becuz of the amount of mana saving it does, and not to forget it increases my ghosts from 7 to 9, I thought that is quite helpful as Cryprt swarm takes lot of mana from me.
And the reason i rush to blood stone first is mainly becuz of health and mana benefits. you know that DP sucks and useless when she dont have enough mana. i didnt want to be in postion that i would unable to use my ulti when i geto sol attacked becuz i didnt had enough mana.
Buy Bottle. Use crow. The ghost increase is inconsequential. Crypt Swarm does good damage in a huge AoE is the thing. It's actually her best spell--not her ult.

I see SB maybe once every 50 games.
He's incredibly easy to counter... Never be out of position, buy wards, 5-manning, etc.
As for heroes, I personally like using bane as a counter but you have to be able to be quick enough to sleep him before he hits you.

bane is a great choice. I like nyx in a pinch too can survive alone even if you can't get the kill. Positioning properly and with SB in mind usually solves the problem with any hero.
I played with a Lifestealler once who infested me forever, just waiting for SB to come running. It was one of the coolest counter ganks i've ever seen.
