WIFOM or something? Err... right no questions. Right, so looking back I don't really get Jack much and find him to be a bit suspicious. He's basically been just randomly voting like crazy then making non-contribution points such as "I agree" and the such. So he gets my fos at the moment.
What about what Jack is doing makes him suspicious to you? I'm not saying I disagree with your assertion, but I want to know what it is about his actions that make you think he might be scum.
I'm suspicious - in every sense of the word.

His repeated voting and extremely short posts with no content look odd.

Now that the more heated arguments have settled down I'm trying to get some more action started. I didn't just pick the most likely target to get a bandwagon going on, I thought I was on to something. In fact, almost all of cubsfan's posts up to his last one were in fact questions. You could argue this is just a townie in the dark trying to gain more information, but I believe it's more sinister.

I think this is classic scum behaviour in the following sense: people with nothing to hide are often forthcoming about facts, discussion, speculation, etc.; while people with something to hide distance themselves from these things by asking questions instead.

No one joined my attempt to oust ubertimmy the lurker, so I've picked a target that should be appealing to everyone.

All you've done is assume I had a restriction, suggest lynching me for it, and then defend your actions.

Does odd=scum?

We had reason to believe that you had a restriction. Why else would you do that? I never suggested lynching you because you had a restriction - I put a pressure vote on you to ask why you did that. And yes, odd can equal scum in some situations.

Haha, responding to prod... it's weird how we're all talking about lurkers, and yet I haven't really been posting and nobody's mentioned me.

Just a thought.

(By the way, lurking mainly because I'm lost... as usual.)

It appears that he has some sort of a random voting condition... we should really try to
kill him
before the numbers get too small.
hmm?

And is this one of those situations?[/quote]

I meant that if you were required to random vote, if we got to LYLO, you could be a liability to the town. If you had such a restriction, would you disagree?

Acting scummy and then thinking someone else is scummy for saying so is distracting to good play. HI-YA!

Doesn't mean he's scum. In fact, he's done a fine job of attracting all sorts of attention to himself, which most scum try to avoid.

I'm of the opinion that Jack isn't scum. This is mainly because I can't imagine scum doing what he has done. (Yes, I'm aware that this is wifomish.) Jack seems more like a weird player instead, but not necessarily scum.

It's true, but they try to avoid it for a reason. People will tend to run you up when that sort of thing happened.

See also, "Post Restriction, Erroneously Claiming Someone Possesses A" for other examples of attracting attention to oneself.

I'm sorry, I am feeling funny today. Must be all the testing that's been going on. Don't read much into that.
Mastermind of Sin, Locus Cosecant, Darklight140, Kwyjibo, Omniplx, and Uraj are scummy. *wink, wink*

I don't see why vote hopping like that is scummy. People just assume odd is scummy.

Voting someone for "poor townie play" is scummy.

Let me say this one last time. I've said this for 3 times already.

At the time, I believed that Jack had a role restriction which required him to vote randomly, possibly following a list. We all believed that he had a restriction. I can quote posts saying that if you need me to. If he had such a post restriction that required him to vote randomly, then in a situation where we are at Lynch or Lose, say 2 mafia and 3 town, his random vote could cost the town the game. All I was saying was that if his post restriction continued to follow those patterns, he was a loose cannon and needed to be axed before we got to that point.
