I have a plan, the cop come out and claim, then the doc protect him tonight, we will have a confirm result tomorrow. But a mafia can claim to be spy and lead us to death though...

I think that a cop claim is way too early in the game right now, If he/she comes out this early then it makes it easier for the doc to be a target. Don't have much more too say right now so I'll be back later.

In this type of game setup, it seems that the cop is really the town's only chance (other than luck) to catch a mafia. If we don't protect the cop, he could be killed the first night.

Of course by outing the cop, we are trading at least 1 guaranteed night investigation result for an increased chance that the doctor is killed. And we are also pretty much preventing the doctor from saving anyone else, thereby guaranteeing a mafia kill.

The more I think about it, the worse BlueSin's idea sounds. It's probably just too early.

This is what we tried in the last newbie game I was in, and as luck had it, I, as the doc, got nightkilled. I agree with the cop coming out, maybe we can get lucky and not lose the doc tonight.

...but the doc can't protect himself anyways, so it's not like you would have been using your choice more effectively otherwise.

I guess by that logic, it might be a good idea. But I guess the one that has to be convinced is the cop. And from the lack of role-claims, I'm assuming he hasn't been convinced.

I still think that the cop coming out is just a bit too soon. As already said more then once it will weaken the odds for the docs protection. I think that we should get on with this game and have a little more discussion.

Don't really want to do this, but I feel that it will help, so here goes.

And yes I know that mafia could easily jump on this vote, but if they do then they wouldn't be too smart now will they.

So it does seem clear that God and Caveman are both not cops. Note that this

does

make it more likely for them to be mafia. There are now 6 roles left for them to be, 2 of which are mafia. So there's a 1/3 chance that each of them is mafia, and a 2/7 chance for everyone else.

I'm not sure what this means, though. I might be more suspicious of the people who

don't

want the cop to come out. Plus, I now tend to think Caveman's probably innocent, and God...well, I

always

seem to think God's scum.

I think I'll hold off my vote for now, but in general, I think the cop should hold off not only until he/she is convinced that coming out is correct, but also until the consensus of the players is that he/she comes out. Note that I am not denying the possibility that I am the cop.
