Math the Board Game should not destroy friendships. What do they play?

One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.
I haven't played too much 7 wonders, maybe 15 or so games, but I find that the player who diversifies tends to win, minus the all in science strategy (which honestly is pretty easy for the players on either side of you to hate on)

I don't really have a problem with the resource tokens, since I tend to be obsessive over little fiddly bits anyway. The only thing about the components that really bugs me is that the money is bad; we had to replace it with poker chips.

BSW has a nice version of Power Grid and it being computerized removes most of the annoyances associated with powergrid (Yes I have played boardgames with people in real life where everyone used laptops!).
Routine day with a dirt cheap brush
Then a week goes by and it goes untouched
Then two, then three, then a month
Then the rest of your life, you beat yourself up
Power Grid is annoying because endgame has fuckall to do with what you've been doing all game. I hate that kind of 'strategy' game. Also, it takes too long to be that swingy.

I turned on some Magic: the Gathering addon for Chrome and now it keeps replacing Mr. Flay's name with a link to a card called Flay.
Autocard Anywhere? You can restrict it to certain websites or turn it off on certain websites, or turn it off for certain cards.

I guess the most vocal opponent dislikes that in an endgame scenario, its easy for people to have no chance of winning but still be able to affect the outcome of the game easily if they want to.
I personally love the game.
We play a lot of things, and a lot of those things are more headbutting games than PG.
It was kinda fun when you get the hang of it, but it is not a game that you should be playing too often or with the same people all the time. I heard there are also expansion packs. Though I usually like simple games, to me the game is a bit too simple right now, to the point of getting boring after a couple of times. An expansion pack might solve that.

I've found that people will, in one breath, praise a game without player elimination and then criticize it for still having players able to make a difference after they can't win. In my group, people were generally fine since we tracked finishes and what place you came in mattered even if you didn't win.
Played a game of Game of Thrones LCG on Thursday with 4 players. It's
very
different from 1v1, and I think I prefer it. There's just more interesting mechanics to the game with 4 players.

Anyone played the new days of wonder game, Relic Runners? It seems a little childish at first glance to me, but i usually trust DOW to put out an entertaining game.
