The initial lylo of three players plays out until lynch, yes. The person lynched is flipped, and the day reverts to everyone being alive. Hence, it is actually a viable strategy as scum to get townies to crossvote, and NOT instahammer, setting up the day two lynch on the other townie. Every 3 days, a scum player is confirmed as scum, so scum strategy is for the long haul, not day to day.

It seems fine imo, if not a bit swingy. Also, it seems a tad too complicated for first time mods.

It would be something that Vi or another "more experienced" mod would probably want to run for the initial go.

BTW calling it Future Fail after the Mafia Achievement on the wiki.

Is there anyway we could simplify the setup? Like, the first one I see is that in the initial LyLo, it should probably just be told by the mod and everyone can vote. One of my biggest problems with ParadoxPrime was that, after the game began, we still had to wait a week to actually do stuff.
Natirasha is just a vestige, it's Contessa now.

This is a valid point, actually. Perhaps limiting the living three to voting, while the others are welcome to post? Or just using the quicktopic like vox did.

I agree with using the QuickTopic. I don't think that all the players should be able to vote in the initial LyLo and I just imagine this hell of superTowns hovering and bossing over the hapless LyLoers if they're allowed to post inthread.

At the beginning of the game, mafia makes a timeline leading to a three-player LyLo. For each day/night cycle, they choose two players that are destined to die.

At the beginning of day one, the LyLo is announced in-thread by the mod.

Scum can only kill according to the timeline.

If town lynched->Scum kills one of the two chosen players for that day, other player rotates into the LyLo(this can lead to 2-scum 1-town in the pool).
If scum lynched->scum make new timeline leading to a new real LyLo & kill a player of their choice. Mod announces new LyLo at beginning of day.

That's what I'd do, at least. It captures the essence of the mini-logic puzzles of the game while simplifying it. I might be missing something.

Issue is, mafia has to give up TWO scum for town mislynching town sooner or later, in your scenario.

Lynch T, now A and B are confoscum.

I think you misunderstood. Perhaps this helps.
ABCD Scum team again. X/Y can be anyone of either alignment not in LyLo by definition.

Scum says X or Y will die during the first day/night cycle. ATT are LyLo. T is lynched. Scum kill X.
Day two, LyLo is ATX. If town lynches A today, only T is confirmed town.

You're essentially creating a modified rarefaction there, then.

The whole point of the gate mechanic is to reward town/scum for poloticking the gate in the first place.

Tracker/Cop/Roleblocker is kind of eww.

Also, this is about a newbie setup and it isn't at the same time. I brought up Matrix6B as an exercise in making an improvement on Matrix6, with the understanding that Matrix6 is catered to newbies. While I would love to have an improved Matrix6 become the official setup, that is unrealistic because we JUST got a change in setup not too long ago.

Okay, so here's how this works. Before every day, an election phase occurs. During the election phase, every living player votes for a President. The President then appoints two cabinet members. The president has two votes, and the cabinet members have one vote a piece. They decide who to lynch. The elections continue like this throughout the game, and no player may vote for themselves in an election. People who aren't elected are still able to talk, obviously.

The anarchists are the scum, and they have a night kill.
Citizens are pretty much VTs.
The judge may declare a lynch "unconstitutional," which lynches the president rather than the lynchee. They may do this once.
The congressman may override the popular vote with an electoral college vote, or in non-flavor terms, overrides the election and chooses a different president. He may do this once, and he may not elect himself.

This is probably a shitty idea. Anyways, I'm open to suggestions/constructive criticism/undying praise/questions.

Oh, and some notes:
In three player lylo, the president essentially has the hammer.
This game is a corruption of kingmaker.
The judge will make it harder for a quickhammer in lylo if a scum president is elected.
I'm unsure if the judge should be able to stop his own lynch.
This is probably a shitty idea, but it seems fun in my mind.

So let's assume that a mafia president, a judge, and a citizen make it to 3p lylo. The judge has been waiting patiently for the whole game to use his power. The citizen suspects the president, but the president can still decide the lynch anyway. That's a bit unfair. And if the president votes the judge, can he save himself? Because it would be pretty dumb if the judge was unlynchable in lylo. I think it might work better if all powers are removed during lylo. It could be called "establishing the new government" or something flavor-wise.

I like the idea, but there definitely needs to be some tweaks.
