Spent a good half hour in the legacy server, going round spawntown (great town!) and taking the railway out to my jungle temple. Made me kinda sad - I'll probably never have the time or energy to build anything like that ever again. That build made me feel like I'd "finished" minecraft.
Does anyone know how to get to skytown without the nether?

Take a boat directly south-west from spawntown. If you come across a forsted island you're going in the right direction - adjust your course slightly to the right. You should find a desert, head west from there and you should run right into skytown.

I was going to suggest doing something different with the Legacy server entirely. I agree that current Vanilla should be the main Vanilla server.
Bulbazak is so town that everytime someone votes him Mastin coughs blood.
